Terrible symptoms after two weeks of a DOB trip

Hey bluelight,

I signed up just to hopefully get some advice or information about what's happening to me. Three weeks ago, I dropped DOB, and it was pretty alright, too speedy for me, but nothing too serious happened afterwards. A week after that however, I dropped DOB again (I probably didn't space out trips enough), and the day after I had some extreme panic and feelings of doom, I felt like I was about to die, I was restless and my heart was beating way too fast, I got mood swings and paranoia all day as well as static visuals and slight hallucinations. It was terrible. For about two weeks these symptoms have cycled, I no longer feel that inner "restlessness" and feeling I'm gonna die, but I still get lots of anxiety, panic in the morning and the ocassional depressive 2 hour episode, that tend to get better at night. The hallucinations haven't stopped though, they have gotten REALLY slightly better, but not as much as I hoped it was going to, so I'm starting to believe that's some HPPD. The HPPD doesn't affect me much though, it's just static vision that's not that annoying.

Some weird physical side effects that still linger are restless leg syndrome and me grinding my teeth from side to side.

Any ideas of what's going on? These two past weeks have been hell, and I'm barely maintaining a job and a social life. :?:?:?

Oddly enough I am in the same damned boat as you, DOB and DOC around a week apart. I am still feeling the effects somewhat (random hallucinations, slight paranoia, random anger, generalized anxiety, etc) I have found that it helps to just stuff as much food down my throat as possible, especially fresh fruits and a fuckton of orange juice.

Unlike you though I am currently unemployed and have the luxury of sitting on my ass all day and night. Supplements such as 5-HTP, chellated magnesium, and rather cold temperatures when I am sleeping have seemed to help to normalize myself. I also quit cannabis, cigarettes, and alcohol as it seems these intensified the negative effects I have been feeling.

With time and being mindful of your emotions you will recover, just hang in there and know that it will not last forever.

^Agree strongly with the advice to let time and mindful awareness bring you back to balance. Concentrate on being healthy--eating right, sleeping, exercise. Stay away from chemicals, including in your food.Nature is a wonderful healer, too. Do you have anywhere near you where you can take long walks or hikes where it is just you and the land?

How long have you been through this mess? This is my 15th day.

I kind of do, I have a pretty nice park where I can walk, and a natural park but I'm afraid bears show up (they have).

This sounds somewhat similar to MDMA induced long term problems. Considering that both are phenethylamines and amphetamines they might share some neurotixic properties? Anyway, this sort of thing can take anything from weeks to many months to resolve.

Learn to meditate, start working out and try to live a healthy lifestyle in general. Also try to avoid any and all drugs during this, including alcohol and weed. About the walks, what helped me very much in the beginning was late night walks in the city, and walks in parks during the daytime.
