this book falls under the categories of either

a) one of the best books you've EVER read

or

b) the best book you've NEVER read

... methinks ;)

Terence McKenna was one of Bill Hicks' best friends wasn't he? I seem to recall Bill mentioning him. Anyway, I haven't read it, but I wouldn't mind if I found a copy.

Not to bash TK, but I've always thought he was a nutjob. He so fervently believed things that had little basis and discounted some Truth to make that idealized reality believable to himself. Good man regardless, but still crazy. He might be absolutely correct, but there's not much reason to believe he is. Why take an apple for an orange when you can taste it and know it's an apple. Smell it, see it and know that it is an apple. Idealism needs pragmatism.
