swallowed my pride, temporarily
forged my submission, held my sharp tongue

a good, stable life in the distance that I can't reach

plowed through all the pain to find
just another putrid flavor of lame and a piece of mind:
nothing really changes, I see through
the transparent masquerade
change is an illusion, transformation is a myth,
the illusion of evolution
died today.

what's been is what is coming
it's funny, but deep down I always knew

Personally i believe that change is always possible, I kind of hold an existentialist view with a bit more focus on self actualisation and a bit less on the life is meaningless part.

Do you feel that the restriction is something inside you, or just that you have no control over the forces of fate/ cause and effect?
