So I have accidentally scheduled myself for about 60ish hours of withdrawal this weekend. Extremely unfortunate. I'm looking for advice on the best way to manage my symptoms with the drugs I have on hand, without risking death. I'm on about 180 mme for chronic pain for almost a decade. I have:
  • Clonazepam
  • Tizanidine
  • Gabapentin
  • Zolpidem (tmw)
  • Kratom
What would give the best results without too much risk to my waking up again?

I would say that clonazepam and kratom are probably going to help the most. I kinda doubt you will be able to sleep regardless of what you take

Clonidine: it is an older blood pressure med. used off label for opiod withdrawal.
I have heard very positive things( for a benzo) about clonazepam. I would ask around.

The Clonidine, I don't know if you can get some. It isn't scheduled but it is prescription.

There is a moderator Keif Richards and he is very knowledgeable.

Also what do you take ( opiod wise and how many mgs how many times a day.
There are some OTC supplements like black seed oil, and other over the counter supplements that can ease wd's some.

No alcohol with the benzos. Take in limited quantities of the more dangerous substances. Oh, sports drinks like Gatorade or Powerade and water. B vitamins and hopefully you can some tips by some of the other members.

I am a long term pain patient on meds. I am only sure that a quick taper and clonidine, gabapentin and I had benzos and lower doses of Oxycodone but I wanted to stop using morphine after 6-7 years.
No problem. Opiods were never my DOC, but I am allergic, now to alcohol, so that works out. Opiods are a tool to stop pain. But different people may have different vices.

So gabapentin and clonazepam. They should help. Clonidine if you can get it.
I am not sure about Tizanidine. What class and what can you tell me about it.

Zolpidem is Ambien and I never personally used it. I would be careful about too many downers and like the saying goes: You can always take more, but you can't take less. You will have to gauge your body.

Kratom. I have never had good stuff that people talk about. That stuff will kill your tolerance, so I avoid it. Mixed reviews from what I have seen.

Thank you for your reply. Unfortunately I can't get my hands on any Clonidine, but the Tizanidine, which is a muscle relaxer, is also alpha-2 agonist like Clonidine and also lowers blood pressure as a side effect. I'm hoping it will have a similar effect to Clonidine, but we'll see. At the very least it will help with muscle spasms and sleep. I've been taking 80mg oxycodone and 25mcg fentanyl patch for several years for chronic nerve pain.

Earlier this evening I took double my usual dose of gabapentin (1200mg) .25mg clonazepam, and my usual dose of tizanidine (4mg). I was already getting the hot shivers, anxiety and RLS, and something I took or the combination successfully toned them down and allowed me to get a few hours of sleep. I don't get much sleep on a good day, so a few hours is excellent in this situation.

I find the feeling of kratom pretty unpleasant, but many people swear by it for withdrawal. I may resort to it if things get bad later, but I'm trying to avoid it. I also don't really know how much to take as a person with a higher opioid tolerance.

Thanks. Yeah, I don't sleep much at all really, hence the Ambien Rx, so I'm expecting to be a awake most of the weekend. Then I'll have to paint my face and try to look like a healthy, respectable non-junky to go pick up my meds at the pharmacy Monday morning. I have not had a great experience with kratom, I find the feeling of it I've experienced a little bit icky. I know lots of people have good luck with it for withdrawal though, so I'm certainly willing to try it, but I have no idea how much to take as a person with a reasonably high opioid tolerance. Any recommendations?

So I actually don’t have the greatest reaction to kratom either. It tends to make me really shaky for some reason. It does take the edge off though. I can’t remember exactly how much I was taking but I think it was about 4-5 grams. Anything higher and I weirdly shake so badly that I feel like I’m going to have a seizure. 7oh on the other hand (which is the isolated form of the strongest alkaloid in kratom) works incredibly well. It takes away probably 80+% of the withdrawal BUT the downside is that it is also highly addictive and the withdrawals are supposed to be just as bad as opiates. I take it when I can’t get my opiate of choice (heroin) but I’ve never experienced the 7oh withdrawal because I just use it in between heroin.

id try one substance each day if it were me. i feel any and all listed will provide relief.
personally i woud suggest just the kratom but thats me. helped me maybe it will help another idk.
try to keep it as simple as possible?
not sure what your dosing at atm havent read all the posts sorry just responding to op.
best wishes; it is definitively doable and have all the confidence in the world that youll breeze through this.
