Temazepam

While temazepam is considered more toxic than other benzos you would need more than 110mg to get to where you're talking about...at least for a normal healthy person, doing dangerous shit in a benzo blackout is far more likely. Now if other depressants were taken with it then I could see someone having a bad night.

tldr: don't abuse benzos. :)

I have been taking temazepam every night for the last 14 years to treat intractable insomnia that sometimes occurs as a chronic complication of bipolar disorder. I was started on 30mg and a few years down the road this was increased to 45mg. The neurologist who initiated the treatment said that temazepam was an atypical benzo in several aspects due to some pharmacological factors the details of which I forget except for the one that causes it to have a very long onset of tolerance buildup to its hypnotic effects and some cases even reverse tolerance may occur, although tolerance to its initially potent muscle relaxant properties develops as quickly as that of most other benzos. There is a caveat though, apparently using other benzos and some other downers with similar pharmacological properties while under long-time treatment with temazepam will cause a rapid increase in tolerance that will negate its therapeutic efficacy.

Fortunately for me the only intoxicants I use for recreational purposes are mild to moderately strong functional stims, so neither meth nor coke are part of the picture even though they had been decades ago (I'm 50 years old) just plain methylphenidate, good ol' dextroamphetamine (excluding Adderall, I can't stand levoamphetamine) and sometimes one of those few select RC stims that have been around for a while and that I have researched thouroughly enough to trust for occasional use at low dosage. I never use temazepam as part of a speeedball, which I do not care for anyway, but it I find it stellar as an oral buzzkill when the occasional unpleasant stim trip occurs, problem solved in a matter of minutes, sometimes using only a single 15mg capsule, for the rare occurrences where I am running low. Quite amazing.

You're lucky (or unlucky depending on how you look at it) that your able to stay on them for that length of time. I was started on 30mg 2.5 years ago and for the first year I was able to stick to twice a week dosing. A year and a half ago I got put on pregabalin and I found that because of the synergy of the two I could split my capsules and only take half. I did this 3-5 times a week for a year until about 5 months ago when it became daily.

Because I was prescribed 30mg daily I was able to build up a large stash so I could taper super slow on my schedule, well tolerance had other plans and since I was unwilling to up my dose so I was pretty much forced to come off. My super slow taper has turned into a fairly rapid one which sucks because I have a few hundred of the fucking things at my disposal that I can't use. :X I'm down to 7.5mg but at this point I want more than anything to cheat and pop a full 30mg.

I think the real issue people here are ignoring are the weight loss benefits of benzo's, you can do it safely and avoid withdrawal, but can easily drop 20lb in about 2 months

How do you lose weight on benzos? They always make me hungry........then again, losing weight is the last thing on my mind because I'm skinny.

Same. The only time I've read about people losing weight on benzos is in withdrawal.
