Benzos Temazepam

So Ive got a super high benzo tolerance or a habit if you wanna be a dick. Anyways Im jumping off a nasty opiate habit and I stumble across the temazapam bottles and Im thinking score. I pop two an then Im thinking how does it compare to stuff Im familiar with?
I take at least 6 mgs of klonopin a day and usually a few zan bars and maybe a few valiums for fun. So I can take at least 12mgs of klonopin without passing out. Im not asking for dose advice buy simply how it compares to the benzos Im used to.
Im hurting pretty bad, so I certainly would appreciate to know how strong this shit is compared to a zan bar or a 2mg klonopin.
 
I appreciate the info. Thats all I really need to know so I dont hurt myself. These pills are definetly on the drowsy and long acting part of the spectrum of benzos. They are benzos but they are used to make people sleep. I feel a bit drowsy to be honest but it might be the other drugs I took. But I digress thanks for the info. Thats all I needed to know so I dont hurt myself.
 
but still start small, you may only need 75mg or maybe even less to equal 6mg kpin. i think 60mg would be a good starting point
 
Im thinking more like another 30 mgs would equal the klon. I was worried this drug may be stronger but I guess it wasnt. My source was quite intoxicated from them. As far as benzos I really think klonopin is the best. Xanax is nice but it doesnt really handle anxiety, its more of a fun noddy drug. I like to take zans when Im trying to get my nod on so I sniff a bar or two before I shoot up. Valium doesnt do shit unless I take an ungodly amount. Flurazepam is pretty nice though. Its pretty similar to temazepam but a bit different. Dalmane is nice too. I think I got some dalmane around here somewhere. Ima dig that shit up and take the rest of the valiums I got tomarrow. Its kinda of fun to switch up the benzos cuz the got different half lifes. Its a good thing I got myself classified as seizure risk and I cant be denied my benzos even in incarceration. Im pretty sure I would have a fucking stroke or something if I went a day without benzos. My doctor told me straight up to never stop taking them as he has me well above the max dose. I do got a nasty panic disorder. Shit Im rambling. But yeah thanks.
 
dont take this the wrong way, but maybe it would be good to taper down a bit and get some counselling/therapy try meditation and stuff like that to help with the anxiety. and we all know that abusing other drugs never helps with anxiety (opiates, stims, pretty much everything will contribute to anxiety. weed can cause panic attacks sometimes too)
 
Im kicking off a nasty opiate habit so thats why Im taking so much benzos. I dont plan on keeping this level of abuse up for more than a week. I usually keep it around 6-7 mgs and Im rx'd 6. I usually just buy a bit of zans each month for shits and giggles (sure are cheap enough). I remember weed giving me panic attacks. I quit for a bit and then I never got them anymore. I think after I got over some trauma from my childhood I was better with weed. I never have had a bad trip though and I do trip alot.

Im not offended at all by what you said. Im sure it sounds like Im an ultra junky. I just kicking a 200 mg morphine habit/60mg oxy habit right now and its not fun.
 
Benzos are a terrible drug, sorry but unless you really need them stsy away, or on the lowest possible dose for the least amount of time. Jope your opiate detox goes well.
 
That's good to hear.

Also, you will find that you will become tolerant to temazepam very quickly if taken daily.
So just be aware if this happens, it could lead to a bigger problem than what you had before.

Well the bluelight benzo conversion chart says 20mg temazepam = 0.5mg clonazepam = 0.5mg alprazolam. But also note that alpraz is an anxiolytic, clonaz is an anxiolytic/anticonvulsant, while temaz is a hypnotic. I find really low doses of temazepam will put me to sleep, way less than the equivalent in clonazepam or alprazolam. Like I can't stay awake on that shit for the life of me.
 
The temazepam is a one time score of two bottles so Im not worried about the tolerance. It was free and free is good. I have panic attacks and well I dont want to ever have them anymore as they held me back in life for so long. After getting on benzos I was able to date so much more and to do better in school and work.

Not trying to be a dick whatsoever man.. b/c i'm in a similar boat as you actually- but NOTHING is nastier than GABAergic withdrawal.. (aka- high ethanol tolerance, benzodiazepine w/d syndrome, barbiturate w/d, and atypicals like carisoprodol, GHB, baclofen, etc etc)

I went through a month of precipitated opioid withdrawal when i took my buprenorphine too early (4mg/day- back in '07.. which i'm still stabilized on) off of 100mg of methadone a day. I'd fuckin go through that shit ANY day all over again than re-experience the 2 weeks i had to spend in the psych-ward for barbiturate w/d (still a GABAergic like benzodiazepines; but has broader neurological action & induces tolerance MUCH more quickly)... these following symptoms were fucking unendingly horrible, i'd prefer suicide: the hallucinations (both auditory & full blown open eye--combined w/ delirium), seizures, delirium tremens, paranoid schizophrenia, generalized delirium, sweats, diarrhea, and both extreme panic attacks along w/ unending anxiety. FUCK. THAT. Slow wean over a year is my plan, going well so far.



ANYWAY, with temazepam (as i'm prescribed it for sleep):

  • 1. I agree w/ you're assessment of temazepam in reference to its sedative properties rather than its anxiolytic properties
  • 2. Due to my tolerance to barbiturates; i can take around 4-6mg of alprazolam (xanax) and still be very conscious..
  • 3. However- a mere 75mg of temazepam knocked my ass OUT! Along with amnesia; but very potent anticonvulsant properties that stopped butalbital withdrawal
  • 4. For reference- I'm tolerant to 2,000mg of butalbital. A VERY high amount.
  • 5. From most effective to least effective; here's my benzodiazepine list: clonazepam (klonopin); diazepam (valium); lorazepam (ativan); etizolam; temazepam; alprazolam (xanax), and also i've been given oxazepam and midazolam; but can't remember the experience due to their obvious amnesic effects.
  • 6. other GABAergics i'm prescribed and/or have used in the past include- baclofen, carisoprodol, chlorobutanol, 2-methyl-2-butanol (2M2B), and the barbiturates: sodium pentothal, phenobarbital, & butalbital (these later three all barbiturates)

Completely agree. Although temazepam is very anxiolytic.. its nearly impossible to stay awake to experience it. And as previously mentioned- it also lasts extremely long. But its absolutely GREAT for sleep; even at 15mg-30mg. Its also an extremely effective anticonvulsant (as i get extreme hand & leg tremors, convulsions, and seizures due to my butalbital taper, which is a barbiturate)

Yea i'm aware bunge- but, i thought i had some information to share.

As I stated.. GABAergic withdrawal is hell on earth (this coming from an atheist :p ) compared to ANY "nasty opiate habit".

I hope the OPer is OK. Besides, i'm curious about temazepam relative to other benzodiazepines myself, as i just started on it relatively recently.

Ive been on temazepam before, along with many others. Is there anything you want to know in particular?
 
For reference, I was prescribed 10mg temazepam for chronic insomnia. Doc said I could take two if 1 didn't work, but that was way too much. Was feeling it the next day.

That's some serious tolerance (imo) if you can handle 30 or above.

nahh you didn't come off that way! Nothing in particular... aside from its interactions w/ etizolam & baclofen? although i'll go slow...

Same here- mine is for serious insomia. & 30mg (2x 15mg per night) is just fine. I have a HUGE tolerance to GABAergics, as i take 2,000mg of butalbital (a barbiturate) a day. The normal dose is a max of 300mg per day. Fucking dumb ass doctor thought i'd "be just fine" just STOPPING!?!? uggh well i wasn't... was in the psych-ward for nearly 3 weeks & had seizures... which were fucking REFUSED to be treated NOR did my fuck-head for a doctor in there REFUSE to refer me to a goddamn neurologist!!!!!!! FUCK U.S. healthcare... even w/ the AP Act.

Oh & by the way- yea, i did feel it the next day... if i'd have to take 60mg at night, too
 
Nice post Alpha. I've been prescribed temazepam (30mg) for a couple years. I agree that it is great for sleep but I never had any day after grogginess from it, probably because I was also on 30mg mirtazapine. For the last year I've been taking mine with pregabalin (Lyrica) and with this combo I was able to reduce the amount of benzo I normally took by at least half to get a similar effect but I don't know how well it would work for w/d. It's a very nice feeling benzo and for me I find it more mentally addicting than the other benzos that I have experience with.
