Temazepam

As far as tapering and daily pick ups go, only some pharmacies can do it and the ones that can have a quota, so it's not as simple as going in there and just asking them to do it. That being said though, they shouldn't have been rude to you.
 
^i'm pretty sure the daily quotas are more restricted to ORT meds such as buprenorphine formulas and methadone doses, amphetamines being another. at least that's how it works in most pharmacies i've inquired within. though i may be wrong and it probably is a pharmacy to pharmacy policy.

i've known a few people who have had daily pickups of ADD meds, benzos and pain killers with no such problem. they were never turned away from any pharmacy.

usually the doctor has contacted the pharmacist to arrange such things.
 
Yeah my doctor didn't ring ahead to a pharmacy. Most were ok, apologised and seemed compassionate.'

Two were rude, and were like 'we don't do that' and walked away.

The worst thing was the noone could tell me which pharmacies in the area would do this thing. So I walking one of the main streets of melbourne at 7pm, shaking, nauseous and feeling very upset.

luckily the one pharmacist that did do it was really lovely, but she didn't fill out the script right and gave me extra tablets! Normally I wouldn't mind about this, but not the best when you are trying to taper. Still last night managed to stick to the right dose, and good willing will do it tommorrow.

i guess I will just have extra in case of emergencies:)
 
Yeah Lefty you're probably right, I was thinking about methadone and such when I said that. I still think it would involve more work to keep track of daily doses and such and therefore it's not that surprising that not all pharmacies would do it. BTW psytaco I had a daily pickup of benzos from Turning Point in Fitzroy at one point, though you've said you found one to do it so all good :)
 
if these pharmacies are using the excuse of "more work for them" denying the daily pickup program they're the places you want to avoid in the first place. it's hard enough to get on some maintenance programs, depending where you live, if at all for some people. these people are wanting to help themselves in most cases and they're turned down and with such attitude.

it's at the stage where you can't ask for a pack of extra pain relief tabs without being looked down upon if you're a certain age group.

that's a shame, man. i've had experiences much the same with some doctors. they're happy to hand out the scripts and referalls but cannot tell you anything beyond what lists are on their computers. not many have interpersonal relationships with the other doctors around the places.

Nah, don't snort temazepam or any benzos for that matter. It's a waste as your nasal membranes are going to absorb little to none of the temazepam and you'll only feel effects from the powder dripping into your stomach. Eat them.

Temazepam has 95%+ oral bioavailability anyway.
 
Candyflip you are just wasting benzo's by snorting them as most are not water soluble. As puckboy has pointed out temazepam has a very high oral bioavailability, this is the case for most, if not all benzodiazepines.
 
i was pescribed temaze quite a while ago as a sleeper, imo best used like only every now n then...i built up quite a tollerence in a short time :\
 
Have been enjoying this benzo a lot lately after a long period of not using it. It is nice to have a more hypnotic benzo on hand after mostly having anxiolytic ones for a while.
 
went to the docs today and got choice of stilnox or tamaz for sleep. Got the tamaz of course :D. 25tabelts of 10mg. Maybe next time i'll grab the stilnox instead. Don't mind a bit of stilnox tripping.

can't wait to dose later tonight hehe
 
^ I had the very same offer today, stilnox is good for sleeping and OK for recreation but it really doesn't match up to benzo's imo/e. It is a shame we only get 10mg tabs in Australia, it is a good benzo but you don't really get many doses.

I actuall just got perscribed 25 10mg Temazapam tabs from my psychiatrist a couple of days ago and could not beleive it. Obviously he has no communication with my doctor with being a 6-7 year every day benzo addict.

Temazapam is actually the only benzo I have never had and with my rediculous benzo tollerance, I cannot beleive how close to perfectly effective 10mg was for sleep last night. Seemed very strange and unexpected to me.

On the "railing, sniffing, snorting" of benzos thing, I have to admit that I once snorted Xanax. I beleive if you generally just like snorting stuff go for it, but with benzos it really is useless.

(P.S. Just parachuted 4 10mg temazapam tabs "lol". Yes with my experience I know this may be a wast of time, but wanted to see if it hit/hitting me right now harder ;))

Totally agree with this, problem is even with low tolerance you need quite a big dose to get to the sweet point.
Also it takes a while to peak and found that lasts longer than valium effects wise.

And comparing to other hypnotics it doesn't make you drowsy the next day but YMMV.
 
lol jake. u were on a lot of booze though. that would of helped with the blackouts :P.

I've only blacked out once or twice on tamaza's and both times were on booze :D
 
I have to say, unless very intolerant to benzo's at the time I have seldom had blackouts caused solely due to them, I generally drank atleast a little and usually quite a lot. In my mind to black out from benzo's alone you have to take a reasonably high dose and expect it to happen, however a blackout creeps up on you when you drink with them.

Temazepam is probably one of the easiest to black out on alone, in the past I would have to say xanax bricks have probably caused the most blackouts, not because xanax is overly likely to cause this for me compared to other benzo's but because I am generally taking bricks of xanax which are a stronger preparation than most benzo's commonly available.

I would not go so far as to call temazepam euphoric, but it definately gives me something any other benzo is yet to give me which is a real body high. All drugs give me a distinct feeling in my body and you could say each give a body high in that manner, but benzo's are one of few drugs that generally don't give me a rather enjoyable or noticeable feeling in my body.

I also don't know if it is because I haven't really used temazepam or any other hypnotic benzo's for quite some time, but a relative benzo dose of temazepam on its own seems to affect me noticeably more than diazepam and alprazolam and slightly more than bromazepam which I have fuck all experience with but have had the pleasure of playing with recently a few times. 60-80mg of temazepam has me more 'high' than 30-40mg of diazepam, which I almost wouldn't describe as a high at all on its own. Temazepam definately synergises into a more sedating high with bud too.
 
That's exactly why i like it to, one can compare it to the most heavy indica body high that will have you couchlocked but without any of the negatives.

90mg-120mg seems to be about right for me, felt better than 80mg of diazepam i tried once. I don't like valium at all tbh

The only time i have blacked out of benzos was with 6mg xanax and 30mg valium, it was only my 3rd try with benzos so had 0 tolerance.
