Temazepam information.

It's up to you.

I blacked out on 15mg of it, 7.5mg of it does me right. I think lorazepam is surprisingly weak compared to temazepam (effects wise - temazepam is more sedative) but I have almost no benzo tolerance.

I would use temazepam sparingly. It's not as forgiving to benzo tolerance.

The other day I tried 90mg for the first time (it was legitimately in order to get to sleep, I was having particularly bad insomnia that night and had to rest for an exam the next day) and it did take me a while to fall asleep from it even then - but I had long enough to kind of test out its effects at that level for me.

I think it was too much, personally - it left me in the confused and uncomfortable state that I get into when I take lorazepam, clonazepam, Lunesta and Ambien. I was quite relieved to fall asleep and get away from the feeling, and I don't think I'll be taking that much ever again unless it's necessary at the time. My sweet spot seems to be 45-60mg. Like Captain.Heroin's posts illustrate, all of our brains react differently to certain chemical compounds because of any number of factors (i.e., his sweet spot is a mere 7.5mg (I envy that, CH! ;) ). What is important, though, is that I suppose the best advice to give you would be to start low - even if that means 45mg - and maybe try working up from there. I dont know, i think i say this just based on past experiences of acutely (and accidentally) overdosing on new benzos and doing really reprehensible things. I think, to avoid that ever happening again, some caution when trying new materials is justifiable advice.

Good luck!

Great advice, this.
WorldWarMe, you've demonstrated that you're pretty prone to redosing (re: your posts from June 5th and June 6th asking if it would be safe to take increasingly more amounts of temaz) and from what I understand temazepam tolerance accumulates significantly more quickly than other benzodiazepines (if anyone has an article explaining why this is on a pharmacological level and posted it here, you'd rock).

What this means is that, very quickly, you will inevitably be going through massive amounts of temazepam each day, setting you up for running out and being helplessly left with a massive benzo tolerance whose withdrawal effects you surely will have earned. I really don't say that to be mean. I've fucked myself over in the *same* way as I just described, like, maybe forty times in the past years I've been prescribed benzodiazepines.

Just don't set yourself up for failure, friend (and by 'failure', I mean Grand mal seizures. They suck. Not to mention the accompanying anxiety - 20x worse than normal).

I've only been prescribed benzos for about 2 weeks, and I usually take less then what my doctor even tells me to take (he told me to take 1mg twice a day, i usually only took 1mg once), but since I got temazepam i ripped through the 30 pills pretty quick because he gave me really low dose capsules. I'm going to take a break for a few weeks starting today, I don't think I'll get withdrawls, but if I do I think they should be pretty minor.

Is this really your experience? I'm not invalidating what you said, it just surprises me since I feel that temazepam has a lot to offer by way of unique and appreciable characteristics. Amazing, how similar yet different our brains are, isn't it? :)

one of the reasons why ive learned to pretty much ignore all those benzo equvilance charts.

what works for one person does nothing for the next person and vice versa (although not exclusively)

The equivalence chart is just to give an idea for doctors to know which dose to switch the patient onto when changing benzodiazepines. The problem with the chart is that you can't compare doses of primary anxiolytics and hypnotics.

My personal favorite doses of Temazepam was 120 mg, although I had a tolerance to other benzodiazepines when placed onto it for sleep. I required a higher dose to get where I wanted.

Temazepam tolerance seems to raise quicker than other benzodiazepines. Although most hypnotics seem to. Within 2 weeks tolerance really kicks in so whenever prescribed it, I'd take my dose of 120mg for 5 days and then stop taking it for a few weeks and continue that until the script was finished or doctor stopped prescribing.

IMO temazepam is my favorite benzo. It's short acting..xanax especially makes me really tired the next morning..like falling asleep upright sitting in my computer chair at work tired.

I'm on MMT and do benzo's here and there..can't go too crazy though obviously because of the methadone (overdose potential).

Anyway, with no tolerance, you'll feel even 30mg, but 60mg will get you high (euphoric to a certain extent IMO), and it will be one of those nights you don't really remember much of..fun though.

For the past week I've been taking alprazolam..about 2-3mg a night. Today I got a script of 30x 30mg temazepam capsules..took 3 (90mg) and feel pretty high..I would say equal to a bar (2mg alprazolam) give or take.

I eat them BTW..but I like that they are in capsules..even though sources say they take up to 2.5hr to peak, I feel effects begin to come on in around 30min.

On MMT you have random UA's and they test for prescription and illicit drugs. I wanted to get a legit script from a doc so I wouldn't have and problem getting my take-home bottles (which are a fucking godsend if you can manage to pull off being/pissing clean enough).

At my clinic you are 100% allowed to go to outside doctors. It was pretty easy to get these 30mg fuckers prescribed for sleeping (which they work great for, however, I did just take 90mg and am wide awake doing shit on the comp and in my room smoking weed). I feel like some doctors (can't generalize) don't really group temazepam (Restoril) into the same group as Xanax and shit.

It's your choice, have a fun night out on temazepam, or have a great nights sleep. Either way you win.

Temazepam is far from my favourite benzo but I do quite like it and it is short-to-intermediate-acting. Funny you should say Xanax keeps you tired in the morning, temazepam's half-life is 8-22 hours and alprazolam's 6-12. With no tolerance and you aren't way larger than average or have insensitivity to some sort of drugs, you may feel 30mg at least the first time, although I barely did. 60mg is already quite relaxing, not necessarily euphoric for me though.
I had a script for 30x20mg temazepam with 20-day refills for a long time and initially it was pretty good recreation and great for sleep, but it quickly lost potency in both departments. 2mg of Xanax is equivalent (according to charts, but they're very different types of benzos) to 80mg temazepam, so that should sound about alright, although I personally feel better from 2mg alprazolam than 80mg temazepam. Temazepam does last longer though, and is less addictive and amnesic. My temazzies peaked around 30-60 min and lasted a good 6-8 hours in proper effects.

Here, next to the Z-drugs, temazepams are usually the next drug prescribed for insomnia, and very easy to get scripts for - they're not anywhere as notorious as Xanax in terms of addiction and abuse, at least not here, although in other countries I hear they are abused a lot and doctors are wary of them.
