Temazepam - benzo

Hello everyone! i have a question, i was recently prescribed temazepam by the VA but they gave me the capsules with the powder inside. i was wondering if anyone knew if the capsules(with powder inside) were time released or instant release like most benzos?

Temazepam is always IR AKAIK. Since it's for sleep & has a long-ish half life of 8-20 hours, making it time release would probably leave one feeling more drowsy in the morning and of course it wouldn't knock you out as quickly. The "soft gel" ones are definitely the best (not just because they can be shot up- which is quite unhealthy) and work quickest according to this paper:
