what is the bioavailability of temazepam,
intranasaly,
rectally,
and IV'd

BA thread only has orally.

i've searched everything and all i can find is that the experimental water solubility is 164 mg/L
but i dont know what that means,
can someone explain the BA of benzos.

also do benzos have to be water soluble to be snorted???????

I am almost positive orally is the best way to take any benzo. Only exceptions would be like sublingual lorazepam I guess.

Id have to agree with Thomas29 here. And temazepam isnt one of the benzos that gives you that benzo feeling usually. its more on the hypnotic sleep aide side of benzos.

What exactly are you asking here? It sounds like the "bioavailability of benzos", which you already know since you're posting this question.

Doesn't matter, don't snort your benzos...unless temazepam is an exception?

^^^^^^^
indeed,
when i say BA of benzos, im saying, i have heard of them being able to be absorbed even though their not water soluble?
but i could be completly wrong and thats why im asking?

also,
so i can snort temazepam??????????

You can snort anything, I wouldn't recommend snorting temazepam, like has been said, eat it or put it under your tongue and let it dissolve.

Just because something isn't "water soluble" doesn't mean it isn't absorbed, there are a whole slew of drugs that are not water soluble that are absorbed just fine, think THC. The body is a lot more complicated than a beaker of water in a laboratory.

In fact, fat-soluble drugs tend to be absorbed just as well, if not better than, water-soluble ones, valium (diazepam) comes to mind.

I don't know the other BAs of temazepam, but since orally is 96%, it can't get much better than that. Most benzos have really good oral BAs anyway.

I'm sure somebody on this board knows the other ROA BAs for temazepam, but they're yet to chime in.

That's because IV BA is always 100%, and temazepam's oral BA is so high that it comes close to 100% itself.

Other ROA's will inevitably have a lower BA than IV use, and most likely have a lower BA than the oral ROA.

These are questions you should ask in the Bioavailability/Half-Life Mega Thread.

Temazepam's water solubility is very poor.

Benzos do not have to be water soluble to be snorted. However, temazepam will be best taken orally. A benzo like triazolam (halcion) - has some advantage when snorted (it is not water soluble).

A drug does not have to be water soluble to be snorted.
