Temazapam combined with Subutex or Norco

Apologies All,

This is my first post on Bluelight, though I've been aware of the site for a long time, and a lurking reader for only slightly less time. Thing is, like all newbies, I'm not at all certain that I'm...a) in the appropriate Forum and/or b) asking the right question to the right people.

Nonetheless, here I go, asking away---fully prepared for whatever comes next...whether a good answer, or a condemnation, or, maybe more likely, a rerouted place to get my query answered.

Whatever the case, thanks for the cool, comfortable reception. Come what may.

Ok, so here's my query.

What can I expect if I mix together a 30 mg dose of Temazapam with 70 mgs of Norco? Or...same question when I mix a dose of Subutex with the Temazapam. Say 1mg of the Sub along with 20-30 mgs of Temazapam?

Thoughts? Ideas? Personal Experiences? Et al.

In advance, mighty thanks!

best,

Tom Joad

I'd be wary of using it with the Norco, as there's potential for depressant effects. Combining with sub would be slightly safer as bupe itself produces very little in terms of respiratory side effects.

You didn't say if you were tolerant to benzos but when my doctor started me on 30mg of temazepam with no tolerance it knocked me out within and hour while I was sitting on the couch eating lol. I couldn't imagine it being safe or enjoyable with an opioid.

What's your tolerance to both, Norcos & Temazepam?

I've never gone over 20mgs of Norco 10mgs Temazepam. In fact, I'm pretty sure it would do me in at 70/30 in your dose.

Then again, I'm sensitive with everything. First couple times 10mgs Temazepam was ingested by itself, I slept 10 to 12 hours each time, so be careful mixing both..........

I am prescribed 30 mg Temazepam, and have been an Opiate user for 10 years. I have used this combo hundreds of times. Be very careful...it messed you up, in many ways. You will probably not remember half of your day..and will also non stop fall asleep. I have lost two jobs due to this combo.

I would usually use a dose of like 60 mg Temazepam and 90-120 mg of Oxycodone...It's definitely an enjoyable high, but just make sure you have nothing to do that day and are preferably alone or with friends who don't care that you will be extremely out of it for a while.

70 mg of hydro and 30 of temazepam won't crush you too hard, but as far as what to expect, it's like your normal opiate and your normal benzo high, only happening simultaneously..you feel both drugs working in full effect.

Be careful.

Best advice is not to mix temazepam and hydrocodone.
They boost the depressant effects to dangerous levels.

If you insist on this combo then dont do anymore then a third of your usual dose of each drug (so 30mg of temaz would go to 10mg and 60mg of hydrocodone down to 20mg).
Even at those doses, you will be pretty messed up. Dont be heroic with the doses, it will end in tears.

Apologies for being so damn tardy in replying to your replies. Family issues and all that jazz.

Any case, your "be cautious" replies are totally right on. Thanx for your admonitions.

Re: my tolerance, unfortunately it's halfway significant. Halfway only because my tolerance, mostly to opioids, was once huge, a tolerance that was far more significant than it is today. A transition from opiates (pills/junk) to methadone maintenance, then (back) to pills, then on to Subutex Maintenance, mixed, occasionally, with opies, then just opiates, only to revert back, once the opies ran dry, to Sub.

No question, this Okie Boy ("Tom Joad") was lost in a mega-storm of dope use. However, I did come out of that particular dark time, though I am still on Sub Maintenance, 2mgs a day. Also currently prescribed 30 Temazapam per month, 30mgs capsules...in addition to a monthly script of 10mg Norco, #30 per month.

And while I have my use of these meds in better control than in past times, I continue, now and then, to mix and match. Clearly, my addictive mind, my addict behavior, is not yet...recovered.

Ergo, my questions about how best to find (at least?) a little buzz. A better buzz. Cause it's just fact, by using 2mgs of Sub, I can take 6-7 Norco and feel---nothing. Certainly nothing much. So---I thought that if I mixed in some Temazapam---well, you guys get it. My interest in finding some way to get a little-bit-high continues calling to me, pounding on my door at times. Some day, I do hope, the pounding will cease, and the dope demons will give up on me; one day, I hope, they will simply leave me the fuck alone. But that day, I'm sorry to report, ain't yet here.

So? So, for the record, my Mix Formula has been this: 6-7 Norco, mixed with 15 mgs of Temazapam. No Sub mixed in on the day I do that cocktail---though since I did use Sub the previous day, I'm guessing there is still come blocking effect provided from my previously day's Sub dose.

Long, longwinded point/question? What if I mixed them all, a one cocktail combo of, say, 6 Norco, 30-40mgs of Temazapam and .5mgs of Sub, snorted or sublingual? Any ideas, any thoughts about the result? The possibility of getting high, even just a smidgen? Or, more likely, maybe just a total waste of time, and meds. Or...hell, maybe a whole bunch of something else?

Ok, hope this made a modicum of sense, at least.

Again, plenty sorry for not reply posting sooner.

Thanks,

Tom Joad

I think as long as you're on subs, you won't feel anything from the Norco. Even though you are on 2 mg, it stays in your system for a while. If you really wanted to catch a buzz, it would probably be best to go without any sub for a couple days. But really what's the purpose of being on maintenance if you're still trying to get high?

But really what's the purpose of being on maintenance if you're still trying to get high?
Well that's the rub isn't it, the paradox? Of course you're right, there is no good purpose. There is a reason tho, and the reason is simple: I'm a drug addict, wanting/hoping to stop being an addict, yet still hanging on to my addiction.

Its not a good reason, but it is, as I've come to understand, the only explanation that makes sense.

I'm a guy now a few years into my 30s, with a 10+ year history of opiate addiction. And though I have made progress in this opiate struggle, amazing progress, to be honest---but the struggle continues.

Your question is valid. Maybe one day, maybe soon? the time will come when I can stop trying to get high. Sadly that day is not today. Maybe tomorrow? IDK. Until it comes, though, I guess I'll keep the struggle going.

thx.
