What would you ask for when temazepam no longer works?

My doc won't increase my dose and it just doesn't help anymore..

What dose are you on? I managed to get switched to nitrazepam from temazepam (although I've never had an ongoing script, no more than 4 weeks at a time) at 10mg a night so you could ask to try that (they'll probably ask you to try 5mg first).

I doubt meprobamate is still prescribred in modern day Brittain, it's a thing of the past probaply. Even benzodiazepines are getting pretty difficult to get a prescription of in Brittain, hypnotic benzo's are even more difficult because of their high rate of abuse. There are some reasonably effectiv OTC sleep aids like Nytol(diphenhydramine) and promethazine is pretty sedating as well, ask the pharmacist at a Boots store for any non-precription sleep-aids, they do have some pretty effective ones OTC.

its still fully legal here (and also in the UK, allthough mostly replaced by benzodiazepines).... i get two boxes '30*400mg meprobromate, combined with approx 10mg acéprometazine.... mepronizine.....

10mg and he is unwilling to go any higher :/

Usually take 20mg these days when i get them, though obviously, they go too quickly.

I'll have an ask about the nitraz (yes, he will try 5mg at first for sure lol) but last time i asked about trying something else he said there wasn't ... liar..

Also, my pharmacy's so wet they will not sell any other Antihistamine for insomnia if it isn't for that use... so it's diphen all the way :/

Yes, Temazepam is definitely underated but thats because its one benzo that requires really high doses for a high as RQ mentioned (other benzos just make me sleep at higher doses, thats why temaz is euphoric - taking high doses adds effects but doesn't knock you out).

I haven't snorted it. But I did take it rectally, albeit only 40mgs. I felt absolutely no advantage over oral, unfortunately.

I'm in the U.S. and have had extensive experience with temazepam. Here, due to it's high potential for abuse (even compared to all other legal benzos) doctors have to encode a special Rx as procedure just for it, and are not allowed in to prescribe more than 30mg/daily, if I recall correctly.

In fact I have a pretty funny story if you care to hear:
My doc was was writing my scripts in a hurry as usual on my psych visit, and stratched his head and asked "So what was your usual Restoril (temazepam) dosage again?" I was on 30mg nightly at the time, so I pondered for a second and said, "30mg...er, twice a day." So that's what he wrote and gave me. When I took it to the pharmacist to fill, she hesitated (knowing the limit, I assume), and went back to call my doc. I assumed my ploy would fail there, and just thought 'meh, oh well'. But after a short wait, I was given the bag, and upon opening it... voila! two full bottles of 30mg x 30 capsules for a month's supply. Naturally, I was grinning like an idiot all the way home. So technically I am legally prescribed an illegal amount of the substance, and have been for the past 3~4 months.

Anyway that's all besides the point. Temazepam should be consumed like almost all the other benzos, orally on an empty stomach (GFJ/cimetidine helps a little, at least to me it's wothwhile). If your tolerance is low to mild, anywhere from 30-90mgs should get you going pree-ty good and wont put to into a slumber. In fact I find many antihistames more sedative than this, and use those for insomnia (which, ironically, is what I'm prescribed temazepam for).

Obviously, what you want to watch out for is when you combine them with other CNS depressants. For example, the line between a superbly pleasant temazzie/alcohol (or opiate) nod and complete blackout is very thin. Set your downer consumtion limits before hand as it difficult to gauge in mid-intoxication. All hypnotics are notorious for their amnesic and depressive effects when used in excess and/or in conjuction with other downers and obviously temazepam is no exception. DO NOT attempt to shoot temazepam, it is perhaps a little more water soluble than other benzos (difference is negligible) but it tends to clump up and not to mention extremely irritant to the veins. I had a friend of mine who had great chemical knowledge create and emulsion that I could inject, because I absoutely positively had to try it (I am friend with the needle). It was probably the best single benzo shot I have ever experienced (markedly better than Versed, IMO), which makes it treacherously addictive, but it is undoubtedly horrendously bad for your body. If you have done any reading on it you may have come across the horrfic stories of a temazepam injection habit, so don't do that, if anything.

But temazepam is definitely a more euphoric benzo than nearly all others I have met. Combonations I enjoy are Temazepam with:
-opiates
-non hard alcohol (or very little hard alcohol)
-and certain antihistamines

All in moderation of course, I'm strained for time and have a slight more to add. But, Happy Temazzie Times!

What exactly do you mean? an mg for mg equivalence basis? In that case, one would need to know your tolerance. Having been prescribed Kpin for a year or so I could give you a good answer to that. But benzo highs are very subjective, I could get a nice relaxed high from clonazepam, and they are great to combine with cannabis and a few other drugs (but I rarely found it useful without said other drugs to synergize).

Hypnotics are in a different realm altogether though, given a choice of either, I'd take the hypnotic benzo in a flash. I feel they are much superior highs to anxylotics (again, not to say they don't have their recreational qualities too).

Yeah, temazzies are great fun and can provide a great experience on their own (rare for benzos). But there is the danger of the temazepam kicking your ass and people having to fill you in on what you were doing/saying that period. But I guess that's common for any 'benzo overload'...for lack of better term.

yeah when i overdo temazepam, i completely forget EVERYTHING.

Some bzd's aren;t too to bad with memory, but temazepam is very harsh. Triazolam is just as bad too.

I;ve also found lorazepam to completely wipe out my memory and i absolutely hate lorazepam.

never had that many memory issues with valiums and xanax and like never with klonopin.
