i let my doctors know everything. Hell, i chose my ADD meds (dexadrine). My shrink knew i had a history of amp usage but could also tell that there was a good chance i knew more about it than he and even though he tried to go with the concerta/adderall jittery shitty meds all it took was 30 seconds of words like l-isomer, insomnia, jitters, etc....and he knew i was on point and knew i was right and also probably suspected i might abuse them every once in a while but shit he was smart enough to realize putting me on some shitty excuse for a medication like stratera concerta or adderal and having the potentiol abuse anyways was worth just going with the better med. A good doctor can respect your knowledge of perscription drugs, even if the knowledge came through abuse they will recognize your problems and also recognize that you know how to take the perscribed dosage and still use other drugs recreationaly without killing yourself
