What a cool thread. I'm going to check in here daily since its stories of hope and recovery that keep me going. On Friday Ill have my first 90 days clean/sober in 14 years! Its amazing to me that I never even took three months off of getting high from the age of 15 onward. I have help and support from AA/NA which have been essential. Alcohol was never my main problem but it was undeniable one of my big problems. The way I looked at it if you enjoy heroin, coke, meth, xanax and valium for breakfast you should try it with a bloody mary!! I don't really understand people who just have a problem with alcohol or just have a problem with one DOC but I totally empathize with the struggle of addiction and that's all that really matters. I've been using BL as a resource for a really long time now but I usually don't post much. I didn't even bother to sign up for years but I now feel like I have something to offer. I agree with the caution expressed by theartofwar but I figure its worth it to post about where I am now if it helps anyone who may be on the fence. I had a massive drug addiction and there are people I know who were worse but anyone can recover. Best of luck regardless of what is causing you pain.
