Tell us about the last film you watched, mate!

Coraline

Nothing special. But I liked it. Quite a bit. Looks really cool in HD.

You could reach and say it is all a big metaphor for opiate addiction. really reach.

i was actually surprised by how much i enjoyed this movie.

malkovich's character was awesome, he plays a retired CIA agent who believes the government is trying to control his brain. he is equal parts bad ass and crazy. bruce willis, helen mirren and morgan freeman make up the rest of the retired, extremely dangerous (hence hte name red) agents.

Grown Up's
Meh...It doesnt even deserve a poster to be posted. I turned it off before I watched the first half, VERY dissapointing, was expecting more slapstick. I laughed twice: When Kevin James' Character attempted to jump into the lake and when the Little girl smashed the piece of cake with her fist at the start of the film - thats it! Some half funny bits apart from that but...Chris Rock was dissapointingly redundant, Rob Schneider's character was the same Deuce-y Bigalow Fiasco, David Spade was as annoyingly annoying as he always is(little man with Big Ego character) and so on.
I know it was a Family Movie but it could have been WAY better. It sucked limp and dry BALLS in my humble opinion!! :P

I liked this. Not everyone's cup of tea. About a severly emotionally/sexually repressed character and all that ensues from her issues. I also watched it with someone who hates this kind of Film and it freaked him out, so it made it all the more fun. ;) Would say the book is fantastic altogether.

Silence of the Lambs

About a dozen years ago when I really wanted to see the movie, I was not allowed. My mom let me read the book instead.

My mom's been letting me watch R rated movies for quite some time now, but I haven't had any motivation to rent it. Not really my kind of movie. But it is one of the movies you have to see---with as popular a movie as it is and all the references that are made to it--and netflix has it on blueray, so tonight I got it over with. It was alright, but not my kind of movie.

^^ But you can imagine when it first came out it was pretty revolutionary, right?

Latest movie I saw was Knocked Up. My boyfriend has it on DVD (some triple DVD pack thing he bought, with 40-Year Old Virgin and Role Models as well) and I was bored one Sunday afternoon and watched it.

It was alright, about as good as I expected it would be. I kinda like Seth Rogan but then sometimes he really annoys me.

The movie made me clucky as hell though =D (I'm already seriously clucky though haha)

Just finished watching Midnight Run. Holy cow, color me impressed! Great mix of everything good that came out of the whole "buddy cop" genre, great performances all around and some real emotion to be found as well.

Empire Records

I thought I had seen it before, but it sure felt new when i was watching it. I liked it a lot. Fun movie. Liv Taylor's character has the sweetest, softest voice. With that tiny sweater and that skirt. Good Stuff.

It's on Instant in HD.

The Hollywood Reporter's Kirk Honeycutt was unimpressed: "This is mostly a sophomoric exercise in black comedy, supernatural excess and apocalyptic silliness mixed in with straight/gay/bi soft-core porn."
^ yep, but damn it i liked it! lol

thought the ending was kind of rushed but im still happy he is (someone is) making movies like this.

quick story lolz... first time on acid i had this thought of a volume of psychedelic teen films (highly untapped genre imo), and i suspect mr. araki had the same thought on acid as well.

Enter the Void

It felt a little long, but I liked it. Pretty cool looking at times. Made point to include plenty of hard-to-watch scenes. Not the masterpiece it wants to be though. Had it come out when I was 16, I probably would have thought it was the greatest thing ever.

on Instant in HD. Worth watching if you have 2 1/2 hours and your drug of choice.

Last Year in Marienbad

I recently saw Hiroshima Mon Amour too.

who knew the French New Wave could be so stale and boring.
