Tell us about the last film you watched, mate!

^With Anna Karina!

i still havent watched this film all the way through yet... lol
& wasnt sure who you were talking about, but i had a feeling, she, Anna Karina! ;) is gorgeous! :D how funny and random(i suppose, im not sure of her fame status...) still though, ;) what an avatar to choose, what a movie to of picked, and what a coincidence,,, heheh.

she is naturally stunning, and was remarkable in this for me.
i love her coats, shoes, body language/expressions, hats, big almond eyes, and
simple but very defined/prominent makeup, BW&Silver... Toutefois, c'est la beauté simple de france...

i need to finish it, this really is a very very underrated movie, full of very effective quotes, acting, cinematography, and the story line is just classic,,, way a head of its time really.

Ashville: 6/7???
and im very discerning, could be jaded if i felt like it...
:P
hah

yup, movies like Citizen Kane might be good, but Godard's with Karina are some of the earliest i've seen that are cool. and young Anna is my favorite thing ever captured on film.

its amazing and poinient, i felt i had to watch a particular scene before leaving the house today...
i love books and movies like that, which are useful as random reference material, and entertainment.

The Strangers

I really enjoyed the first half of the movie but the last parts seemed to drag on a little and became quite predictable.
Otherwise overall it was pretty cool and I heard the sequel is already confirmed.

It was funny. Not as bad as I thought it would be. For a movie starring Kevin James and constant Sandler coattail rider Rob Scneider, (I hate this guy) it could have been a lot worse.

Watched this last night, i love digging up films with little to no exposure to the mainstream.. maybe it's because i love literature so much; but i felt like the characters had alot of depth and i loved the dialogue and quotes used.

Also watched this the other week; absolutely incredible cinematography, loved the different concepts used throughout the film.. some very intense scenes that i felt focused on core human nature. Definitely not for everyone; it takes leaps over boundaries, but otherwise a very engaging or should i say dissociating movie that i really enjoyed. ;)

0.01 / 10

I fast forwarded through most of this movie I'll admit (it was that bad) so I may have missed some of the story line. I didn't even catch on that it was actually a piece of gay cinema while watching it. I just found this out when googling an image if the film poster.
I got tired of the same repetitive techno playing right through the movie that made it feel like one huge film clip for a shitty song.'
As for the storyline, WTF is this shit about munchies taking over drugs & booze etc in 5 years from now????
And the kid narrating, how about speaking a little clearly when reaching an International audience, FFS you are speaking English after all.
Terrible film

I give it 0.01 out of 10. :p

^Note, 'From the Distributor of KidultHood' atop poster, looks like their 'Name Dropping' and Grasping at Straws there! lol

Saw this on telly the other night, for the Millionth time; so beautifully Shot - Never tire of it, or that Morricone Soundtrack :)

The Mission was decent, though I oft get it confused with The Name of the Rose. Don't ask me why.

Fangoria Frightfest - Dark House (2009)

Dark_House_fangoria_frightfest-1.jpg

Weak story, threaded together in ways that remain rough at the edges and slightly unraveled. Some hot chics, but they show you nothing. A decent amount of special effects for the horror....but it's not really horror. Not much of a 'jump' and not much for 'gore'...overall I highly recomment painting your toenails instead. For those that want the main story or intent, there was a house where some lady killed a bunch of kids, and one survived. Then the one comes back years later with her acting group to perform a haunted house thing there, except the house has been revamped with 3D holographic scare'em effects..wooooh 8) And everyone gets killed. Surprise? No. Enjoyable? No. Stay away.

Shaolin Soccer (2001)

Ok, so I'm already self professed kung-fu junkie. Add to that my affection for soccer over the years. This is can't miss, right? FUCKING RIGHT!!!! From the same people who brought you to Kung Fu Hustle, we've got a story that weaves high wire flying kung fu, soccer for national pride (though admittedly, in this film Shaolin >> Soccer for the story line), soccer as a back drop for top of the line special effects (for the modern genre), and a love story of sorts, and plenty of making fun of themselves along the way. Quite honestly, best flick I've seen in quite awhile. I highly recommend it, even if you don't love soccer. Watch this!

I just watched Chloe

I saw the twist-a-comin' pretty much right from the start, but I couldn't deny the sexiness of both Julianne Moore and Amanda Seyfried gettin' in on. T'was a lil' Poison Ivy-esue, but no matter. I wasn't expecting anything sensational anyways. Definitely worth a watch. :)
