How can a shot-for-shot remake, by he same director at that, be so much worse?

They were both terrible.
 
tried watching "mr.nobody" got like an hour then im like FFFFFUUU- hour and half left. had to put that shit on hold. ill finish it at a later date. just had a hard time gettin into it.
