Tell me how to get off Citalopram and Wellbutrin.

I would like to get off the wellbutrin all together but never had success. How do I get down from 200mg to 0. How long do I taper? The citalopram/celexa I just want to get from 30 to 20mg. I have valium here and was wondering if it would help taking that to get off these.
I suffer terribly with migraines with aura. Please help! Thanks!

Why not just tell him you wont take them anymore? If he tells you to fuck off and not help you get off, that's malpractice for sure. He can't force you to take pills, can he?

Tapering drugs is just one of those things you have to try for yourself and find out what you are able to put up with. Just remove small amounts of the medication daily and if it causes problems, stop for a while untill it stabilizes again and then taper slower. No one is going to be able to come up with a perfect taper plan, not even your doctor. You have to find out for yourself as these things are extremely individual.

I'm not a doctor but this is what I would do. Drop the wellbutrin to 100mgs once in the morning for a week or 2 and if you feel fine (which you should bc wellbutrin doesn't have a major w/d syndrome), jump off that. Don't cut the wellbutrin pills

If you want to taper completely off citalopram, try to drop 5mgs at a time (as long as you feel comfortable/2 weeks). If you feel 5mgs is too big of a drop, cut the pill into small equal portions and go from there.

Tapering is not rocket science but it's important to not make your dosage drops too big or else you might feel withdrawal. You can use valium if you begin to feel anxious but use as little as possible to avoid any dependence to it. Try some Excedrin for the migraines. If your dr won't help you taper and insist on more pills, go to a doc who will help. Good luck!
