teeth grinding and triping on MDMA

hi there.
i'm a noob so plz excuse the probably dumn question.


a friend of mine took a capsule of mdma a few hours ago
after about 20 minutes he totally tripped away for 10 minutes (he told me everything around him just fadet) and started grinding his teeth.

is this normal?
he said something about "this could happen when mdma is cut with Strychnine"

im not sure about the fadeing thing, and have no idea what strychnine is.

but teeth grinding is a VERY common side effect of mdma.

just give him some gum

Seriously though, teeth grinding is quite common with MDMA and many other common stimulants and similar chemicals (such as MDA and amphetamine, which your ecstasy pill could be cut with.

However, the whole "cut with strychnine" thing is an urban myth/D.A.R.E. class bullshit. It doesn't make any sense whatsoever for ecstasy pills to have strychnine in them.

If you were making ecstasy pills, would you rather cut your product with something could poison/kill your possible customers or something that wouldn't do anything/very little (such as amphetamine, caffeine, sugar, corn starch, or any other number of things/fillers). It is quite common for pills to be cut with amphetamine or methamphetamine, as they produce stimulant effects much like the stimulant effects of MDMA.

While I can't tell you with complete and utter 110% certainty what is in your pill, but I'm pretty damn sure its not strychnine.

I recommend checking out the Pill Reports and Ecstasy Data databases, they contain lab analysis of submitted Ecstasy pills, see if your pill is listed. :)
 
Bruxism is a very common side affect of Ecstasy use. Strychnine is a crystalline alkaloid which is commonly used here in Australia to kill rodents etc etc.

It's highly toxic and have never heard of it being cut with MDMA :\ Did you guys test the capsules?

YES. Gum is amazing for bruxism. Also, make sure your friend takes some vitamin supplements after his roll, and, if you can, get him some magnesium supplements, they really help with the jaw-clenching with Ecstasy and lots of other amphetamine/amphetamine-based drugs.

Good point, its also extremely toxic at low doses (1-2 mg/kg per the wiki page for it), it is also a very powerful laxative, so unless your friend is shitting himself silly right now, and I mean, really shitty himself, there's another reason why your pills don't have strychnine in them.

It also would cause extremely painful yet uncontrollable muscle spasms, among many other horrible horrible side effects that I'm sure your friend isn't experiencing. Reassure your friend that his pills don't have strychnine, because they don't. It will probably make his roll even better, less anxiety about having eaten rat poison :)
 
Gum, chew on his Kandi (which is what i do haha), pacifier, gummy bears, etc.

And definitely vitamins later. Vitamin C especially while rolling. Sunny D is AWESOME.
 
One time I took a pill that had to have been cut with some sort of psychedelic. Everything seemed to fade and all I was aware of were bright lights. Lasted for about 10 minutes and then the roll continued. It was very bizarre. It's never happened since and I have taken more of that pill since then.

Could possibly be a similar experience. Hopefully someone has more insight.

And yes. Teeth grinding is super normal.

IMO, When people say that they fade out, i think its just the MDMA doing it's job. I think it's your body saying "whoa" kind of thing..If that makes sense :\

thats what happend to my mate too.
i took a third of the pill last night, just to be shure, but i didn't expirience any psychodelic effects.
 
The first couple of times that I took mdma, during the peak, everything in my vision would pixelate and continuously shift to the left and I would have strobe vision and my arms were making tracers. I was like 8o the first time as I did not expect this from ecstasy and had never taken anything psychedelic. I think MDMA can definitely cause such effects without being cut.

OP what I would guess happened is that he took a fairly high dose of MDMA. Well, high for him. Did you guys weigh out the dose?
Also, as people have said, Burxism (jaw clenching) is very common with taking MDMA...Which is the reason for the pacifiers at raves.

I don't know what strychnine is ... the others can help with that.

grinding teeth is normal ... get some gum!

as for everything around him fading - it's probably the come up ... it can be crazy. he might have taken a bit too much ... not an overdose, but more than his body needed for a good high. not a big deal though
