Teens Now Getting High Off "Digital Drugs"

I have used binaural beats and other brainwave manipulation audios for many years in my trance and meditation work. With dedication and effort, I've been able to astrally project, remote view and gain verified evidence of contact with the "other side". Of late, I've started to be able to project my 'viewpoint' outside the body whilst totally conscious and sober.

These tools do work and the resulting effects can be mind-blowing and incredible for a drug free experience but they take lots of practice, intent and desire.

This binaural stuff, as mentioned, has been around for ages, same as the glasses with the strobing lights.

apparently white noise is the equivalent of E

White noise? Ha!, I've been exposed to lots, and pink noise as well. Setting the EQ on big sound rigs with a spectrum analyser is made much easier with pink noise (1/f). I guess I did experience some degree of pleasure when it was finished, but I think that was more to do with knowing that the tricky part of the job was done :D

As a very inquisitive teenager, my interest in drugs, particularly acid, was increased markedly after learning meditation. Oops, better not speak too loudly, they'll be wanting to ban that next =D

I wonder how many of the parents/teachers freaking out about this practice are Christians? Mustang Oklahoma has a higher than average percentage of the community that are religious (51.66% compared the US @ 48.34% ). I'm sure it would be seen in a completely different light if these kids were feeling euphoria from "the love of Jesus" after listening to Gospel music ;)

^ Ha I've been around white noise a fair bit too phase_dancer and the only time I felt ecstatic from it was the first time I tuned a room by myself. :D

gotta fire up the fax machine and load up some blotter hits for the silly, gullible listeners out there in woo woo land

I like to think of this technology has potential.

There's a clip out there that you watch for about 30 seconds, then when you look away, it leaves you with LSD like visuals lasting about another 30 seconds.

Repeated use gave me a migraine, nevertheless it worked for a brief period.

There are various mind machines and the like that claim to offer relaxation or stimulation. Surely a combination of light and sound could be developed to at least give a mild psychedelic effect?

I'm pretty sure I know the LSD video your talking about. And I'd hardly say its LSD like visuals. More like very very light mushroom dose. Just things look slightly distorted.

For anyone who has played hours of Guitar hero on end you experience the same sensation when looking away from the screen, same with a pin wheel that Hypnotist's use.

I'm pretty sceptical of these digital drugs, Maybe they have very very very mild affects but claiming they could become the new gateway drug wtf?

Reguarding the white noise, I've heard this aswell, did very little for me as did the pink noise.

Now I'm gonna say something that will sound humerous but I SWEAR by it and that is the dreaded brown noise... For those of you who don't follow south park, the brown noise is a particular frequency that on the south park makes people crap themself.

Ridiculous right?

Well about 8 years ago, I was on holiday at Mildura staying at my grandma's house with one of my best mates. For those of you who are familiar with Mildura, they have this massive water slide, the biggest in Victoria infact.

So me and my mate were playing in the pool just throwing a ball around, he goes underwater comes up and goes "dude, I just found the brown noise". I was sceptical at best and more importantly was hoping my mate had not just crapped himself. "Did you just crap yourself?" he says "no, but I felt like if i kept listening to the noise I would" The noise was coming from one of the Jets underwater, it must have been playing up or something. So I swam over put my head underwater, and there was a very deep vibrating noise and I instantly felt my guts cramp up and like my mate I felt like if I heard it any longer I might actually crap myself.

Anyway, people never believe us, but it's a story I'll always stand by. So noises at different frequency's can have very real affects on the body.

But I'm still extremelysceptical about something immitating drugs to such an extent.

I tried it once, a long time ago, felt a little relaxed, but it could have easily been a placebo.

altho i dont beleive this, i must try it... i mean id never pay for it but cant hurt to try.

For something a little more interesting, check out the work done by V.S. Ramachandran on religious epiphany & temporal lobe seizures, and his work involving inducing seizures in healthy subjects using electromagnetic fields.

This from Beyond the Brain 1 is great if you've got the time. There are a few other talks by VS on The Science Network also covering his work on phantom limbs and synesthesia.

TS14 that is a very interesting story you have their about the brown noise! LMAO I love South park and it would be pretty damn funny if that really existed.

classic voice of the young generation.

"He was like downloading to his i-phone, seeing demons and like freaking out!"
Real valid journalism.

Quick! Ban the children from using mobiles! Won't somebody think of the children? We must put a stop to this.

I love how that's the (kneejerk) response.

To compare Binaural Beats to illegalised Drugs is laughable. I've been listening to Binaural Beats for months now, not to "get high" but because they enhance your Pineal Gland aswell as Vibrational Tones, enhancing the body's natural rythmic vibrational level which can have a great effect on sustaining and replenishing depleted energy levels, enhancing aural projection and allowing one to open their Chakras and Meditate easily.

Where this study, comparing it to Drugs has come from I don't know. But as with anything thats always outside the "mainstream" there's always a misunderstood Taboo about it. I only wish the idiots who conducted the study had the time to actually read up on what Binaural Beats are actually designed to do.
