Penelope Soto will spend the next thirty days in jail for basically being the most stereotypically catty teenage girl ever.

The 18-year-old was in court today for her arraignment on charges of possession of Xanax bars (the drug of choice of catty teen girls, obviously), but certainly wouldn't have been found guilty of possessing a good attitude.

According to CBSMiami, Soto was laughing throughout her court appearance, and when the judge asked her if she was under the influence at the moment she flipped her hair and replied, "Actually, no."

The judge set her bond at $5,000, but when Soto was walking out she gave the judge an "adios."

The judge, of course, was having none of it. So he had her brought back and upped her bond to $10,000. This time as she was walking away she flipped the judge off, because apparently she hadn't quite yet figured out that pissing of the judge further wasn't going to help her.

So, she was brought back again.

"Did you tell me to fuck off?" asked the judge.

"Yes, sir," replied Soto.

So the judge ordered her held in jail for the next 30 days in contempt of court.

dunno what to make of this

instinctly i wanna say that tellin the judge to fuck off should be considered part of our first amendment right

but then again i dunno the definition of being in contempt of court

but what i do know is i have been to arraignment court n court enough times to know you show the judge some fuckin respect, most judges i have personally dealt with seemed pretty kool, i know one who was the gaurdian of a close friend of mine who is a good dude on n off the bench, he fights for what is right i have seen him refuse tosign a search warrant because of lack of PC

i know it sucks when youre in jail for some bullshit drug law but the judge isnt the one to take it out on (the arresting officer is, kidding)

each time i got arraigned the gaurds even told you to show the judge respect, eye contact yes sir no sir yes mam no mam, she was obviously a dumb bitch but i dont like him giving her a month cuz he got disrespected, at a certain point our freedom is worth more then the respect you feel you deserve due to your position of power


side note, when i was in lew sterrit (dallas county) there was a dude n there who got arrested while finishing his shot n had xanax on him n when he saw the cops he popped most of em but apparently dropped some cuz he had a heroin n xanax charge, but i was pretty much with this dude for 2 days cuz he was like 4 people ahead of me n line goin into jail n he ended up gettin housed in my pod, he was litterally completely chest to knees in his seat n kept falling over n hitting his head when he fell on the ground, atleast 15-20 times, n when we got arraigned he couldnt stand up for the judge or keep his eyes open n she was PISSED n i forget what she set his bond at but she fucked him cuz she felt disrespected but it was like bitch this dude should be given naloxone n yall are just lettin him hurt himself n not taken him to the infirmary n just bein a bitch "sir im goin to need you to be able to stand if you want me to set your bail, sir i need to see your eyes" honestly the neglegance of them for this mans well being didnt really occur to me til i was thinkin bout him n regards to judges demanding respect. anyways i was with him 2 days n as he started to sober up he was kinda a dick but then by the time i left he was completely sober n he was a good dude, i ended up callin his grandparents n the shelter for him so they could get his stuff from the shelter before it got stolen or thrown out, akward fuckin conversation his grandpa askin me if he was on drugs, i didnt know whether to be honest or be loyal to a dude i was kool with in jail so i said he wasnt on any drugs that i knew of 8)

kind of funny, but she's just really dumb. You can say all that shit and put the finger up after you are out of there. Good way to dig yourself a deeper hole to get out of.
 
I hate court and I hate judges, but she was an idiot for doing that. When you're in a courtroom you behave a certain way or they will use all their power to crush you. She looked high too.
 
Didn't he say bye bye and wave her off? If she had said bye in English instead of saying adios would her bail have stayed the same? He doubled her bail for saying adios, the middle finger was the reaction to that. I agree she shouldn't of done or said that but if she really was still high on Xanax she can't be blamed for having no filter and saying what we all thought of how that judge practices.

She's a trashy idiot and got what she deserved. You don't do things to piss off a judge or curse them out especially when you're in her situation.

Pretty dumb.... is all I can say.

I told a judge off however but it was when we were out of the court room.
It felt amazing and he couldn't do anything.
 
Why the fuck did he double it for her saying adios? He probably mustve thought its a fuckin swear word or something. wtf
