A CALIFORNIAN teenager drugged her parents’ milkshakes with a sleeping draught - after they banned her from going online after 10pm.

The girl, from Rocklin, near Sacramento, secretly put a friend’s prescription sleep medicine in her parents’ milkshakes, reports CBS. Police Lt Lon Milka said the parents found it a bit odd when their daughter offered to buy them milkshakes. They noticed their milkshakes tasted odd and only consumed about a quarter of them, but it was enough to put them to sleep, he added. “They had a crunchy texture, bad taste in their mouth,” Lt Milka said. “Subsequently, they fell asleep.” They didn’t awake until the next morning and didn’t remember exactly what happened but suspected something was up and took a drug test, police said.

a pump aresol, 3-4 pupmps is rec dosage. I haven't had the 8+ hours needed to try it
 
She could have tried a different approach. How about giving them Scopolamine and just asking them to switch the Internet back on for her?
 
This reminds me of the one in a million sociopath I was once able to meet.

My girlfriend, two friends and I went to her house out in the middle of nowhere (I couldn't name a town if I tried)
We went because we were told she had a mansion with an indoor pool. True, but it was one fucked up ugly mansion. The pool was cold. Fail.

One of the friends decided to lose his virginity to this crazy person after she told us about the different ways she plans to kill her father. Apparently he doesn't let her party or have many friends over on the regular, doesn't give her enough money. She showed us the mass of pills she has gathered for killing her father. I never saw the guy, or I would have told him.
The girl gets extra weird after getting laid and starts wanting to take some of these drugs (nothing good, so we split) I stole $20 from the sociopath and on our way.

4 years later I start a job in another town, I get aquatinted with one of the guys in my training class and we start swapping stories of the area we came from (he, a few towns over)
He explains to me how he lost HIS virginity. Apparently some girl poisoned her father the night of a barely planned house party. She drove him to the hospital and he was admitted overnight. Perfect. Buddy got laid, experienced some scary behaviour from the girl and split. I asked if she had an indoor pool. Of course she did... It was her. Her father is now in a wheelchair.

Don't drug your parents kids!!! (sheeesh!)
 
It had to be something with a strong taste that would show up on a standard drug test. To me that eliminates ambien lunesta and anti-phycotics. Probably a benzo.

Also how urban legends start.

Had to be either large pills or loads of em to be gritty.

Also,benzos I've tried would be easily masked in a milkshake.

if your children think it is appropriate to drug you to get what they want, they need mental help. what other extents would they go to, I wonder.

This girl certainly doesn't deserve her freedom for a long, long while. True psychopathy cannot be treated, however, as a psychopath sees none of their behavior as inappropriate.
 
O holy hell, I'm locking my pills up now just on the off chance my kids want to fix mommy a nice chocolate Halcion laced milkshake. Of course I wouldn't mind a really good nights sleep on the other hand.....
But seriously if I swallowed a mouthful of milkshake and it is crunchy and tastes bad I'm personally not going in for a second swallow.
 
Surprised the parents didn't catch on sooner. The drink was crunchy and odd tasting? I tried this on
my ex-husband with crushed temazepam in pepper steak. Even drunk, he took one bite and spat it out.

True psychopathy CAN be treated. It involves reward, and not punishment, as punishment fails to alter the behaviour of the psychopath.

High-functioning psychopaths are extremely adept at changing their behaviour-patterns if they logically see the rewards for doing so. Self-aware psychopaths (high-functioning) CAN see their behaviours as "wrong", but not the same way as a neurotypical person. They often develop "prosthetic" moral/ethical compasses to navigate the world with, and can use these tools to alter "inappropriate" behaviour. Yes, however, they will only do so if they see the benefit to themselves that they will gain.

The key to treating psychopathy is extremely early intervention, reward-based therapy, and the active promotion of high-functioning psychopathy through various means such as education.

If the psychopath is low-functioning, forget it, yes, it's not likely to work. But if you can increase the functioning of psychopaths by early intervention, then you have something to work with. They will still act directly in THEIR best interest, not the interests of others; however, higher functioning psychopaths can recognize that, often, benefiting those around them and behaving in certain patterns that are acceptable to society IS in THEIR best interest.

Psychopathy CAN be treated. The problem is we start treating it FAR too late, when even reward-based therapy is extremely difficult.

If you don't think that high-functioning psychopathy is a a real phenomenon, then ask yourself why, in areas such as academia, politics, business, law, etc. the rate of psychopathy is ~3 times more prevalent than the 2-3 percent rate in the general population. The answer is that successful psychopaths will prevail in such fields only by naturally developing a high-functioning state in order to maintain useful behaviour patterns while trashing/modifying those that harm them. If they fail to develop higher-functioning, then they will end up as career criminals or self-destruct otherwise.

Psychopathy can be adaptive. It doesn't mean you're a serial killer, rapist, corporate criminal, etc. It just means that if you WANTED to become one of those things, you could, without feeling any guilt, remorse, or shame. If a psychopath is molded by experience properly, then the whole game is changed.

maybe they thought the crunchiness was some type of peanut or flavored crushed up thing that came in the milkshake but as soon as it has that pharm taste they should have stopped drinking it.

also, if someone put temazepam on my steak i would thank them and munch it down. i love steak and benzos are nice to so its a win win situation.
 
Pfft when it comes to messing with your parents, adding drugs to their milkshakes is doing it wrong. If you really want to fuck with them, add milkshake to their drugs :P
