Wet: What the fuck are you talking about?!?
Yeah, the OLD techno DJ's have formed a base for us younger, fresher talent to work on, but they, in NO WAY have helped new talent get ANYWHERE.
I have sent a CD to SImon Coyle and haven't heard shit, and Van Diemen has given countless mix CDs to other party promotors/DJs with no result WHATSOEVER[\b].
Your opinions count for NOTHING.

WET: In a way I'm kinda glad you weren't at the bush doof coz I reckon mine, and Dan's set would have been wasted on an ignoramus such as yourself. If you in any way think that the likes of WillE (especially) and that have advanced our scene beyond the realm of the average then you are possibly the biggest moron on the face of the earth. As was said at Two Tribes II and I quote: Now here's Australia's best DJ, Will E Tell. Now here's the biggest contradiction in terms ever in the history of the world. If he is the best Australia has to offer, then it's a fucking sad state of affairs here in Australia. To hear the crap fucked up mixing that he plays followed by the precision of Richie Hawtin, the chaos of Gaetek, and the techno genius of Marco Carola, it puts the likes of will E smell (of course) to shame.
It would have been good to open your eyes to the real world of techno, but unfortunately I and probably everyone else, doesn't think you are ready!!!!! So keep your opinions to yourself until you understand what techno is really about!!!!!!! OK!!!!!

Dan: It's a bit disappointing to hear that yourself and Van Diemen don't get any feedback from promoters. Keep persisting, with some luck you'll get there in the end. I'll keep an eye out on the @mosphere lineup's and come by and see when you guy's play next.

Mr_Audio: How'd your set go on the weekend? Was that your first set out and about?
P.S Some fine new techno records out this week. My pick of the bunch go to Stigmata (Chris Liebing) 5/10, Umek's newy on Phont Music (different, but still enjoyable), Glenn Wilson and Slobodan double pack on Planet Rhythm (I wish a promoter would bring Glenn Wilson out here!), Andreas Kramer's Der Este Wird Der Letzte Sein (bit of a mouthful), G-Force's Scarpa EP, Slobodan's Trauma Hound EP and Surgeon's double pack on Dynamic Tension.
P.P.S Wasn't it great to finally see Schumacher and Ferrari win the F1 championship, almost brought a tear to the eye!! haha

1. u dont take anythin away from ppl who have made it to the top good or not good they made it, will e has achieved alot and can not be said anythin bad, though i dont his sets that much, i do think there is so much talent there that WILL be higher than him in the future but he is setting techno's ground and the youngy;s will take over, because let me say this i hope these youngys like techno as much as me coz ppl need to take techno serious, i dont think will e does for some reason
techno has meaning, and ppl MUST know this

Handy purchases yesterday: Punish 10. It RAWKS! Van Diemen picked up Audio 26 10" double pack. And guess what? It RAWKS also

Dunno about getting Wilson to tour. He's a very busy man! He runs like 20 labels! Van Diemen knows the exact amount (I think) so he can fill you guys in... But he is the man...

Dan: Aah, I saw that Pounding Grooves Audio 026 mentioned on Juno yesterday. I've got a bit of Pounding Grooves stuff up my room (mainly because Pounding Grooves = Lawrie Immersion who runs the Routemaster acid techno label and just happens to be one of my fave acid producers). What I've found interesting is that most of the big UK acid techno producers are making the foray into running a techno label as well as still producing acid as well. D.A.V.E The Drummer with Hydraulix, Immersion with his Pounding Grooves alias, Chris Liberator with his Minimum/Maximum label and The Geezer with his RAW label. As this thread is all about, everything revolves around techno! hehe
P.S. Is Punish 10 Glenn Wilson & Mike Humphries' Lip Service? If so, I love that sample at the end of side A that continually goes "Take that, and that, and that, etc etc". Anyway, enough babbling from me....

You have to understand the weekend that was had at 'Where The Wild Things Are'. It was enlightening and enspiring. It conjured up many feelings.
It has passed now and has returned to the Techno talk that many others find VERY boring, except us

It seems that sometimes everyone takes things a little personally when a disparaging opinion is expressed. If I have also offended anyone I am truly sorry(sic), however, we all must remember that anything can be taken as being offensive.......
For someone to say to me that someone is or isn't quality is something that i may find offensive. I think maybe everyone should lighten up a bit (including myself).
Granted we were all a bit excited after the weekend and that's all well and good, but an argument is an argument. We felt that we were let down by a certain someone on the weekend an we have right to express that opinion in this forum.
Mikeysammy you are right in saying that a personal attack on someone in bluelight is wrong and should not be done - but, sometimes an opinion is very strong and will be expressed in such a way that someone may be offended - just like i might.
anyway back to the true topic of this thread

I've decided to jump back into this rather large, sometimes pointless discussion because we're slagging off Will-E (insert insult here) again.
I'll repeat what I've said many times before: Will-E is the most overated DJ in Australia.
I know you like him Wet Musik, I did too when I first started getting into the techno scene, but as I learned more about the music, and the way that it is spun, I've learned that what the guy does is pure shite.
Maybe one day soon you'll learn to see the wood from the trees, but you like the guy and who am I to tell you what's good for you?
Personally I'd rather see 1000 Aussie DJ's (and Dan and Van Diemen are high on this list) play before Will-E. I'd rather watch my wife spin before watching Will-E wack together another half-hearted mix.
At least my wife tries to impress and does the absolute best that she is capable of.
For those that missed Dan and Van Diemen - I plan to have them playing bigger and better placed (timewise) sets in the near future at my next party - infact these guys are part of the Panic Stricken Bovine crew.
I'll be back.

As for Will E well all I can say is that I can't be bothered arguing about him anymore. Some of us here were fortunate enough to see better talent on the weekend

Richie Hawtin was fanfuckingtastic (as ever) in Dublin on Friday night. He has a really cool thing going on at the plus 8 website (http://www.plus8.com) where he`s documenting his world tour in a daily diary kinda thing. I notice he has no Australia dates planned however

Just one last thing on Robert Anthony (Bertie Bee). I didn't catch much of his set, so I can't judge what he played. But I want to make two points:
1 - Being a DJ is a hard job. You can almost never keep everyone happy.
2 - Robert was kind enough to play at W.T.W.T.A. for free, and you have to respect someone who takes his time to help out a fledgling party.
