Techno Lovers Part 2

Allrighty there you guys, I've finally made it over to Melbourne. So what's the craic? Hope you all are well. Any big nights of techno lushishness on soon around here? I've seen a few posters around for Ken Ishi on Cup Eve and one for Garnier on the 25th. Any good places in the city to check out? Help an Irish guy out here please

Drop us a line on the email .... [email protected]
I hope to see yis soon.

Mr_Audio: I saw it at Sanity when I was there on Tuesday lunchtime. They only had a single copy, which I'm sure is gone now. But they should get more copies in, or at least I'd assume they would.

thanx Brett, any new stuff in ur box
have u checked out some:
WJH/TH or Allan Barratt / Anthony Thomas?
u betta have hehe
wink.gif

hehehehehehe
vinly here vinyl there vinyl is fucking everywhere

Mr. Audio: Haha! Nice little rhyme

Valentino's new one on Primate is some funky-arsed Techno. I reckon he shits all over Umek in both production AND DJ'ing.
Check it out - Recycled Loops/Ben Simms style grooves.
Question: What have record shops here got against the Zync label? Or do I always miss out coz I'm too slow?

...the currency man.

i SAID
has anybody seen ALEX K - SEEK AND DESTROY
anywhere in stores
I NEED THIS SO BADLY ;(
and also i need a copy of the pretty old CODED - FENTON AND THOMAS
fucking LP's being hidden, gets me upset
i heard chris liberator rocked, cant wait for lekebusch and garnier which is my next party that i am saving up for, too many LP's no money wat can u do
wink.gif

DAN: there is too many zync stuff brother hehe ur gotta be in the stores quite a bit though coz they go pretty fast, but ye there is alot of stuff on zync coming in
BRETT: wat a lineup, i would love to see the man joel mull in real, he would great to see

Mr_Audio: search and destroy by alex katz - picked up a copy bout 4-5 weeks ago here in perth, never saw any copies on shelves though. stuff on jerk here has to be ordered pretty much to have a chance of even seeing it.

I'm sure I've mentioned "The End" before. And I'm double sure that Van Diemen has told his little story about the place as well...
Open to Torture is Billy Nasty's night. Always impressive acts...

Dan: I saw a few copies of The Time EP by Beyer floating around at Sanity Bourke St at lunchtime (assuming you don't have a copy already!).
Mr_Audio: I'd love to see Joel Mull play too, he played in Perth last New Years with Christian Smith. Pity he didn't make it over to Melbourne, or maybe he did and I just didn't realise it.

Dan: Although I've not seen Valentino or Umek DJ before, I personally think their production work is very similar (obviously working together as Recycled Loops they have the same ideas about their musik).
I grabbed a copy of Valentino's latest on Primate (name escapes me currently) is some really nice work (as you already mentioned). But some of Umek's latest work is very fukn nice as well, most notably The Contra EP on Phont Music and The Voices of Africa on Primate. Just in my opinion, I think that Umek's production work is a little better but that is just my $3.68c worth.

P.S Please party promoters get DJ Rush to come to our humble shores, and maybe even Dave Clarke as a backup act wouldn't be to shabby either. I'll donate my first born, I promise.

mr_audio: indeed indeed, katz, smith, kramer, yum. and whaddya know, the day after posting, i see multiple copies of "seek and destroy" in the local central station here.
br(e)tt: suffer: we get joel mull again this NYE (with beyer and smith), and no, not just a dj set, but he's actually performing live! yes yes...

Good Afternoon All,
SOrry I've been absent these last 2 weeks - work's been mad and back to the gym for me!!!
I have, however, been doing some great record shopping over the last 2 weeks and now here's the run-down on what's about
smile.gif

In a very particular order
wink.gif

1. a.b. The Time Drumcode 21 - Probably the best Drumcode ever by Beyer. As was said at tuneinn.com - "Probably the best feller ever to produce this style - HE IS GOD"!!! Sorry but nuff said!!!
2. Headroom - Electronic ladyland - Compound - I love headroom - this is another fantatic creation!!!!!
3. Player 1 - Player ???????? dunno hoo this is but it's fucken pounding.
4. Sump Pump - Colours - can't remember what it's called. Hammering techno from the world of Glenn Wilson..... Once again delivers the goods
smile.gif

5. Chester Beatty - Disq 2. Fuck I find some cool records!!!
wink.gif

TECHNO ROCKS LIKE THIS SHIT!!!!!
There are about 6 more but I'm too stoned and I have been on the phone too long, so I have lost my train of thought.....
Shall fill the rest when able
smile.gif

Mr Audio - Where are you???? Ring my phone please re: superlarge mixup at my house soon.....

Carola's humblest servant
