I think that those who make the choice live very differently. I'm glad you made the choice. Happy birthday, anniversary and Valentines day all in one.

@RL--that is a miserable story to read and the reality of it is horrible. The best you can do is to encourage her, but as you know only too well from some of your own struggles, it will all come down to her. She has to find her own sense of worth, her own financial independence and her own way with relationships. It doesn't sound as if she is ready to confront any of those areas of her life. If she is looking to be rescued it is probably best not to inadvertently foster any such notions in her head about you. I don't know if you have to cut all contact, but I would curtail it only to brief interchanges where you again encourage her to get help. Seeing herself as a victim will not help her. Same with you feeling responsible. <3

good deal. he technically lives in Garden Grove which I'm not sure how far away that would be from you. I'm trying to convince my dad to fly out that way over the summer for a few days or so. maybe hit Detroit as well this summer to see my moms side of the fam and see a lovely female bluelighter as well :)

she's a beaut. I think her and I would get along pretty well. ah summer sounds so pleasant. have yet to meet a BL'er yet.
 
well being in the st Louis area there aren't many of us around except the Chicago and KC area. no offense to the chi people but hanging around them I couldn't stay clean lol.

It's definitely good to hang out around people who aren't going to be using when you're trying to stay clean. That's a good choice. :)

That's also a big reason why I love it out here. All the friends I hang out with regularly don't use heroin or have quit for as long as I have. I'm especially proud of my friends who have managed to quit. <3
 
soooo i recently came into possession of some dry ice ... (my dad ordered frozen pizza from chicago)
at any rate i am trying to figure out fun stuff to do with it
 
^^dry ice bombs are cool. can always do spooky Halloween fog, place on skin of sleeping people, hmm that's all I got. I vote for dry ice bombs.
