You're meeting neko?! Awesome!

Me? I'm enjoying one of the first gloriously beautiful, sunny, warm days of my city's sudden spring.... by nursing a nascent cold. Just had a 2 hour nap, going to do a quick round of BL, drink some sort of smoothie, and then probably get another hour or two.

How awesome stardusthero!! I'd love to know theres someone frm here around these parts. But id doubt it...
Hell its a real nice day out i been a lazy poster as of late, The geting up and geting into workout mode has kinda taken over it was a real busy one yesterday i got up, did my exersise had to go to the shops then the kid had 2 friends over for a few hours in the pool it was so not my usual get up work out, eat then be somewhat listless for the rest of the day and i was spent and ready for sleep by 8pm ish.
So today was no surprise im up early and done the routine workout, posted here a few times kid is off for a holiday in a coupple of days so il have a week free over easter, I really wanna make it to the beach today not going seems like a waste. It's now i spew i dont have a car theres so much more opportunity only a drive away:p

Something to eat is my nxt priority, then try try again to get out and get myself off the pc/ Game and also get kiddo up and off the game i swear shed sit all day and play it if i didnt tell her to get up on the weekends. But when ur a kid the weekends are always a deserved time for a bit of a sleep in and lazy time if they wish. They have to do enough shit @ school:\
Really hope everyone is having/ had a great weekend :)

On the note of cool BL meet ups, my boyfriend and I love paintings and neko just so happens to be an artist and she gave us the most awesome acrylic painting of the beach. I lourrrve it <3.

I was actually surprised at how many BLers are from Florida. When I lived in another state (Pennsylvania) I couldn't find anyone in a 500 mile radius. The whole PA roll call thread was a total dive also. It had tumble wheats floating through it.

Baha! Do I sense sarcasm. Tough lives they live.

My vegetable plants I planted when I moved here 2 months are now ready for transplanting into a garden. I actually posted a picture of them when they were babies and just sprouted so I'll post another little inspiring plant picture :P. Aww plants and life <3. Sooo tomorrow I think I'm gonna bite the bullet and rent a tiller and do some dirty work.

We adopted this dog from a few states away and it is a terror. I think it is actually retarded. It's always showing it's teeth even when it's not mad and it can't breathe right it's always making a snoring sound and it's legs are like 2 inches long. He was not as pictures. And it just chews on me all day and walks on my face.

My other dog is so cute it's a little tiny Papillon and I taught it to howl and I decided I would see if this one could howl and it basically sounds like a car alarm going off. It gets all crazy eyes with it's eyes going in all different direction and it won't stop once I get it started. I'm also always smelling farts and I think the dog just keeps farting when it's laying next to me. We haven't even decided on a name for it yet. x.x

What a total dog fail. I hope he has some redeeming traits that pop out.

well... no kid, no responsibility, no scruples, no direction. I'm really wanting to make the most of this week. I left @ 10:30 am train was an hour late ontop of the 2 hrs we had to wait cox the public transport here blows:p then another half an hour to wait for a bus back:!
Imoa need some watchin this week, was two seconds away from hoping on the southbound train even though i had no money for it. I feel somewhat abandoned and kinda just wanna do something radical. Heres hopes it is not too out of control.
Stardusthero... you are very intuitive;) these teens just are beyond me society seems to breed more and more worse generations every time. Stoked to hear ur veges r goin well. I planted some other plants like 6 months ago ripped em after one month being paraniod, But then a tomato bush comes up outta nowhere... Shes currently sporting 5 bunches of cherry tomatoes!! whod of thunk it??
Im off to do god knows what. portin bak in laterz much <3 2 yall. Lets hpe i make it through the week with my sanity.

Not likely SMFG. As school is starting again for me, and I'm tired. I didn't get to sleep for the longest time last night and now I have to go back for another 2 months and then it's summer break and blah :p

Oh man cherry tomatoes are my favv. I planted like 5 different strains of tomatoes. I am going to have tomatoes galore at the end of the season. Unlimited tomatoes and bread compliments of my neighbors. I will be able to survive off (and off it alone) it through the winter. I also planted cucumbers, bell and hot peppers, cantaloup, watermelon and corn. Everything came up except the corn. I have one single corn stalk. It's so pathetic and lonely looking. Like am I really going to sow it all season for 2 cobs. It will be the most satisfying cob of them all. My only child, grown with individual attention and caring love.

I hope you make it through the week with your sanity as well <3.

On another note... I painted my bathroom today. At least that was an accomplishment. It was supposed to be burnt orange but it turned out to be like a sorbet orange. It looks delicious. When I opened the can of paint I was like oh I think I want to pour it in my mouth actually..not on my walls. :P

stardust, I'm so jelly you got to meet neko!! :)

SMFG if you're ever down Sydney way let me know and we'll meet up :)

I love BL meet ups! Neko gave us a picture for our house too!

On another note. I can't stop eating bacon. I've reverted to every time I go in the kitchen just throwing a piece on a plate and cooking it for a minute. I don't even fry it anymore. It's getting ridiculous. And then there are those little salad packs of the real bacon bits too and I throw handfuls into my mouth as I'm waiting for my slice of bacon to cook. I am not even going to look at the scale anytime soon.:|

Share your bacon with me!

I could stand to put on some weight.

I love that you are planting a garden! There is nothing more therapeutic IMO than preparing the soil, and tending the plants and then watching it grow. It's like a whole metaphor for life!

And I know exactly what you mean about opening a can of paint and the color being so delicious that you want to drink it!<3

I am on spring break and yesterday I finally got outside to weed my garden and hidden in the weeds were all sorts of little baby sweet pea plants. I guess they came up from last year. I transplanted them and fed them kelp and bonemeal. Hopefully, summer bouquets!:)

I hope you didn't forget that all TDS mods get a share of momma herbavore's fresh veggies =D

Lucky your on spring break. Everyday felt like summer last week and now it's snowing here :(

Tehehe CH and Badfish you guys need to keep this stuff away from me. I've gotten to the point where i'm like screw it! I just gotta eat it all so it goes away!!

And Herb, your snow peas are coming up from last year? I thought vegetable only came up once per seed? What a pleasant surprise. And what is this about bonemeal and kelp. I am such a newb when it comes to planting. I really gotta step up my game my peppers are almost a foot tall. (or at least I think those are the peppers. I wrote the names of them on the peat moss pots and it washed off x.x)

Man I wish I planted snow peas! Picking out the seeds I have to say was the most fun part. There are seeds for whatever you want. Short tomatoes, tall tomatoes, big tomatoes, extra big tomatoes, tomatoes that grow upside down. I remember seeing in the snow pea section they had snow peas with no string. I am actually surprised I didn't get them. Or maybe I did. If my words didn't wash off I'd know what kind of vegetables I have :|.

Oh and an update on our dog.. Which is a nightmare dog btw. We finally let him sleep in our bed last night. He is a jackrussel terrier mix actually (I don't know how the lady couldn't see it) and he just gnaws on me and walks all over. I don't even think he knows what he's doing he just keeps crawling all over my face in bed. It's not even like he's trying to get closer to my face because he's closer than he should be, he's on top of it. So we let him sleep in the bed last night and I had to push him off a couple times but for the bulk of the night he did good. I am proud of our new little dude. He is insane though and never stops moving so every picture I take is blurry.

Oh, you omnis and your bacon!

I found a recipe for raw, young coconut meat bacon. Hope to try it out sometime soon!

Hey Badfish!!!
im seeing Sublime w/ Rome on Saturday night :) :) :)
kinda lame because Rome's no Brad (and Bud recently quit the band too). Still though :)

Hi all :) Sometimes I wish I hadn't moved from Florida! I joined the board when I lived there and never expected so many awesome BLers to have Florida ties. No such thing as too late, though. I plan to visit later this year.

From the cold and rainy Northwest, the new house, curled up mostly unpacked in the home office after a hell of a day, ugh... these are my busiest 2 weeks per year, every year. I took a break to go to Lush (the beauty place) to pick up some lovely pampering products. I don't see this letting up until Saturday and then only for half a day! The bigger projects and two new endeavors are coming right around that pass. I wish I had enjoyed my time off when I had it!

Working on a nice balance, doing my best.

Awesome! I know...I'm really sad Bud quit...now it should just be called Eric with Rome :p But Rome has a good voice and he really does give a good name to brad, he has a bunch of respect for him and that I can really appreciate. Have fun there!

You're wise to take some time out of your busy schedule to treat yourself well during these stressful times. Those life situations can be overwhelming. I've been a total asshole to my family back when I was living with them after breaking under the stress of feeling overwhelmed by significant projects and obligations! Blahh... hang in there MP. This part's gonna suck, but it'll be great.
:)

Well, I've yet to meet anyone who can do anything more than this! You're doing fantastic work - Keep it up and the rewards will bear themselves to you surely enough.

Hey Mariposa! Good to see you in here again.<3 I hate moving until you get to the all-put-back-together part and can sit down and relax and start feeling at home. You are in Washington or Oregon? We are heading for summer and summer is beautiful up there!

Stardust--kelp and bonemeal are two things I always add to the soil when I plant anything. Kelp meal is just an all around great plant food and bonemeal is great for flowers but works well with vegetables, too. Here's a couple of links:

The sweet pea seeds are actually from the sweet peas that I let go to seed last year so you are right about seeds only being good for one year. Your plants sound very lush so you must be doing something right! It's still too early to plant outside here but soon.....:)

I hope everybody is having a great day today. I had a hard one but it all ended well. My husband is having a terrible time with his first chemo treatment and today he had an extreme allergic reaction to an antibiotic they put him on for an infection and we spent hours getting him checked out and then trying to get him comfortable. We were getting pretty depressed because it just seems like one assault after another. While I was waiting for him to be brought out of the lab I saw a young woman going in for her treatment. She could not have been over 20, bald with the telltale scarf that says cancer (on a woman). I thought about what it must be like for her to come in here at her age. We never know what lays in store for us, do we? Anyway, when we went outside I took a big deep breath of spring air in my lungs and felt better. There is always something to be grateful for.<3

Jan, this is one of the most powerful things I've read in I don't know how long. Your post took my breath away, and my eyes even a bit wet.
Thank you.
