@Stardust and Laika--my son, the bacon addict would so love that...um...product?=D Really, that sounds good a s a sandwich or just with eggs.

@vanweyden--what is this product you speak of? Would it be a German name for Spam?

@ Dave--after having to look up what the hell Durian was, here is what I found: http://youtu.be/oQj-hFfmYkQ

@S.M.F.G.--keep your eyes on the trail when you are out on that bike ride! I don't want you reporting back in here all banged up because you got distracted by a bikini or two or three!=D

I hope everybody is having a good weekend!

I've never had spam before and when I started living at my boyfriends house they were talking about it and were all like "whaat how have you never had spam?" My boyfriends like it tastes kind of like ham and fat except saltier (and since I enjoy fat, I will eat everyones steak fat they cut off their steaks it's better than the meat) he's like you should try it and I'm like well I guess it if tastes like fat and almost like bacon I'll probably like it. Cheap and un-nutritious foods are usually the tastiest. It was really late and for some reason the only thing left on the shelf was a knock off product called Treet. The 50% less sodium and fat Treet no less. It was the most vile thing I have ever eaten. I will never eat spam or Treet ever.

Which I thought I normally like things that gross people out. Like that corned beef hash from a can that basically resembles dog food. Om nom nom. I can eat it riht out of the can cold it's so delicious. I'm always eyeing it up in stores as I pass it in an aisle and my boyfriends like just buy it and I'm like NO! You'll judge me. I'll have to eat it in a closet while crying and comforting myself with my can of hash. It's just me and you buddy.

No, it's from Sweden. Basically it is pickled herring in a barrell and left in the sun for several weeks. The smell is unbelievable and if you eat it, you may puke but surely you won't get rid of the foul taste for weeks. When I saw it I couldn't believe anyone would eat it voluntarily. Disgusting...

Happy Easter Everyone!!!

Any one out there with kids hunting eggs?...My 8 year old has just had a ball, though im pretty sure this will be the last year she believes in the big white rabbit that hops around the world dropping chocolate everywhere!
What are you all doing on this special morning?
So i thought id just say Happy Easter, Stay safe and watch the dicks on the roads if you have to travel...

Mods should i have dont this in the social thread?...It just occurred to me!

Probably would have been better in the social thread but so what?!;) No egg hunting for me but a beautiful bunny drawing delivered from my little gap-toothed 7 year old neighbor girl over my back gate.<3
And spring is so beautiful here, it's hard not to be delirious.<3

I hear that it's tasty. Maybe not rotten-fermented fish tasty, but, you know, good.

I don't understand at all.

That reminds me: I tried a fresh durian milkshake last night. It had the characteristic smell and everything. Was SUPER tasty too, although one of my dining companions couldn't get past the smell.

I, for one, think that I'm going to invest in a durian, and have a durian eating party in my courtyard. Rancid-smelling-but-oddly-delicious food for the win!

I still have yet to try one. There's a pan-Asian food market up here that makes all manner of shakes/teas, and my favorite - Vietnamese iced coffee (strong iced coffee w/coconut milk). I don't know if I have the cojones to eat a durian... someday.

I have wonderful news. I am now proudly owned by a dog... and not just any dog. I have wanted a Siberian Husky since I was a kid. My mom wouldn't let me have one when we lived in the deep South - she thought it was mean to have a snow dog in the heat/humidity. Point taken. But now I live in a cooler climate where plenty of happy huskies reside. I met a family who is moving to Arizona and needed to give up their 11 month old female purebred Sibe. I went and picked her up Thursday night. Her name was already Chloe and I kept it since she knows it. I'll post some pics in the pet thread. Chloe has a mostly black and white coat with tan tips in parts, rich brown eyes (not all Sibes have blue eyes; any color is acceptable in the breed, even two eyes of different colors!), and she is a ~40 lb ball of puppy love. <3 It was love at first sight! She thinks she is a lapdog. I ran her in the dog park with around 10 other doggies of various breeds today (one other purebred Sibe and one Alaskan Husky, two Boxers, one beagle, two Chihuahuas, the others were adorable sweet mutts); now she is tuckered out in front of the fan on her blanket. :) She played so cooperatively.

Pics forthcoming in the pet thread. If you are on my FB, you can see some there. :) I have waited so long for my sweet, smart, silly clown of a sled dog. I was obsessed with the Iditarod and Yukon Quest coverage especially this year. Everyone except my housemate thought I was joking when I said I was serious about getting a husky. I wound up with one who wants to be a sled dog... time for yours truly to pick up the fitness thing hardcore. This doggie was born to run!

Good catch! I've merged it into the Social Thread for you :)

Happy Easter to you!!! Have you spotted any unusual wabbits in the vicinity recently?? You'd think, after all these years, someone woulda caught that Bunny in the act!

When I was growing up, I remember what a pleasure it was for my parents to inadvertently discover hidden Easter eggs we'd missed on Easter.... in late May 8(
Still a funny memory, though LOL

AHHH I am so excited for you! I can totally relate to the excitement of finally owning a dog you've always wanted outside of your parents constraints. Pictures pahlease!!!! I am so happy for you. Dogs are amazing.

HAPPY EASTER!! BLUELIGHT<3
If u into that easter stuff, either way, have a fuckin good one and while ur @ it have a good one for someone else;)
Waiting for girlfrind to get home from work, we sposed t obe goin goin sumwhere%)

I hear that it's tasty.

I will let you know how it is. Seems like typical organic/health food markup where it is cheap to make but they sell it for super expensive, so if it is good I am going to be going to the bulk store and buying the chai seeds and hemp and various other ingredients and making my own for a fraction of the cost so I will let you know.

I am back to a veggie diet, and want to cut out all processed foods, which right now are: cereal, rye bread(PB&J), and yogurt and soy milk. Cereal has to go, I am debating the bread (once a day for lunch) and will keep eating greek yogurt and soy milk.

Eat health and exercise = feels good man.
