ocean, sorry about the phone calls from Mom and how hard that all is. Congratulations on having given her some hard "NO's" and having set boundaries. Hope this all much better soon.

Since as a drunk dialer I call Pacific time zone people (they are up later by reference to me in central) more often, I'm thinking the answer will be to hit the lottery, move to Europe, and start culinary training in Paris. Now get on it <3 :) ;)

My mom would insist on coming with us and she'd have us living in Amsterdam instead of Paris.
But Maybe I'd be stubborn and buy a plot of land in Ireland.....if I won the lottery I could buy her a place in Amsterdam to live.;)

Especially the part about coming off cold or stiff. I do. I'm really honest and sometimes say things that sound cold. I'm an Aquarian though so I'm a good distancer......

My recollection is that you were INFP b4 but close to the middle on n & p The big problem with a shift of this nature is an alarming correlation between this sort of shift & lycanthropy. Have you noticed any dental changes, extra hair, a desire to chase cars or especially a desire to devour your beloved on a moonlit night. TDS members ought not prescribe so I suggest you consult an expert if any of this is going on for a thorough diagnostic picture and treatment.

Edit: Yes that INFJ profile does really sound pretty true to your character, especially the protector part.

I am INTP, I've shifted on the E/I axis some. ENFJ, like all NFs are most interested in relationships. Because they are externally focused and seek closure they are good situations where they can helpfully direct other people to stay on schedule or within bounds like a cruise director, personnel department, teacher. Other than relationships/friendships you likely have a hard time with things that hang over your head or can not be put to bed when you feel finished. Es gain energy from socializing and can feel drained or depressed from to little socializing though that usually mellows out for everybody as we age.

NT seeks mostly ability and skills NF seeks relationships friends SJ seeks order and concrete results SP seeks most of all experiences

I believe INFJ is the rarest of all the types. They are usually kept in zoos or government run preserves. How is it you are out in the wild? The first sentence was true. It is often said that INFJ is the rarest of all 16 types.

I left Minneapolis this morning.... driving to Texas alone.

Right now, I'm at a rest stop in Ames, Iowa.

The significance of Ames is that I almost got married here 10 years ago (it's my ex-fiancee's hometown).

I thought I would get depressed coming through here, but I'm really not. She was a great girl and deserved a lot better than the person I was then. :)

I've never driven so far alone before. It's really boring. Iowa is nothing but flat cornfields.

I've never smoked so many fucking cigarettes. :|

Being alone driving could be fun ;) Blare whatever music you wanna listen to, sing at the top of your lungs, pile your passenger seat high with snack and empty coffee cups (or cans), pretend you are someone totally different when you go into a store. hahahahah I wanna go on a road trip!

An Opel was my parents' first car! As NYC kids, neither of them learned to drive until almost age 30!

Yeah, this is the 3rd or 4th time I've made this trip.... first time alone. Treated myself to a night at a luxurious lakeside casino/hotel last night! Thankfully, gambling is one addiction I never developed a taste for. I lost $6 and went to bed! :D

Ocean - thanks! Getting my ass out the door was soooo hard. In this journey of what will ultimately be 4000 miles, taking the first step was really difficult.

Really looking forward to seeing my Mom and oldest friend in Los Angeles. :)

I was doing a Kiersy based take on MBTI, and not very well. Kiersy emphasized four grops to N groups defined by their results on the F/T axis and two S groups defined by their results on the J/P axis. Everybody gets included but he didn't regard S/J as importantly defining for N's or T/F as importantly defining for S's. I think this was to attain 4 groups which can easily correlate with other basic systems like elements in astrology or the ancient 4 humours system (sanguinic, melancholy, choleric, and phlegmatic).

I am not sure how I feel about correlation between different systems. An occasional occultist works on a personal table of correspondences, Alistair Crowley entitled his 777. I do get mixed up in all the different models of personality and systems I use, but a set table of correspondence might be limiting or could even be the project that finally launches me on a trajectory towards the center of the abyss. Anyways I don't personally subscribe to any other person's correspondences. May attempt someday. Kiersey was what the 4 types was about. In the mini-Kiersey w/ 4 types ocean is an NF.

The reason I have somewhat of a gruff attitude re the MBTI is that it is an obsession of someone I know. (Not Enki.) I swear the dood could talk about it 100% of the time. And worst? He's an INTJ like me!

i have a crowley deck setting in front of a window above my bedroom door. i haven't shuffled it in around four years.
that is an amazing deck... enough so that i haven't messed with it in so long, but keep very near.

the art work is perfect, every card is a masterpiece.
