taow, you are not stupid at all. You are an amazing person who has overcome so much adversity, and you know why? Because you have more emotional strength and life experience than most people could hope for. You are incredibly strong, and not in the least bit stupid. Please recognise that and give yourself credit for the GOOD aspects of yourself <3
 
ty n3o, im sorr i disagree, i feel like my life is a giant coping mechanism frankly. It's somethng that really pisses off shrinks

QFT <3 Hang in there, TAOW. I can't find my phone charger; phone is near-dead, but I will charge it in the car and get back to you as soon as I can.

I'm moody in general today. Nothing earth-shattering, but I definitely have a case of the Mondays. I may have to go to my most hated place - the mall - today, as I am in desperate need of new socks and underwear. Also getting super anxiety provoking side effects from the Ritalin. I know I need to take my scripts so I can concentrate and focus, but this shit is bananas. I gave up amps cold turkey 3 years ago this month. I talked to my psychiatrist this AM and he told me to stick it out, that things will get better. Same thing everyone says about SSRIs :|

We also had a visitor at my house (roommate's friend) last night whom I COMPLETELY cannot stand - this dude needs a swift kick in the tailfeather. He is a freeloader, goes through our cabinets (food) and in general is just a jackass.

However, the silver lining is that I had a wonderful weekend with good friends (including an AMAZING dance performance), and one just texted my near-dead phone that his kids really liked a special soap and organic mac-n-cheese I brought to them on Friday. :) These kids are awesome but super picky. I'm glad I made the right selections.

I got out of jail last week. WOOT! 80 days served, 60 of which were spent in the jail kitchen...yep :D

I'm feeling very grounded in the spirit which is amazing. Committed to sobriety and working an amazing program to maintain it.

On other fronts, my fiance and I have decided to separate :( She needs to spend some time on her own which I completely understand. Our plan is to keep seeing each other and "date causally". We're still living together and sleeping in the same bed though....it is a confusing situation to be sure.

Anyways, its good to be back. I missed you all!

Welcome back Mehm! Glad to hear that you made it through alright.

The situation with your fiance sounds... complicated. Sounds like you've got it figured out, but I'd be damned if I could wrap my head around that were I in the same boat. Much luck with that!
 
my family left Ethiopia and headed for the Hindus, N Europe, & then the USA.

if i accept this as true, as my families DNA shows; wouldnt i have to consider myself as multiracial?
and if i were to - wouldnt we all have to?
and then wouldnt that description be forced out of our language?



i seriously am thinking about checking myself off as multi-racial from now on... i have more proof of that anyway.

my attorney(civil defense) kept asking me to tell him if he was correct; seems kind of tricky, compared to "...if i am wrong"

he later was explaining to me how a judge would have all the questions written already. i said " oh right, all lawyers ask questions they know the answer to "
then he leaned over the table and said "that's correct"

he also had a framed cut out from a calendar on the wall, that had no year but was a painting of a little Kid with a fishing pole walking away, looking back at his father: who was motioning as if to hand him off.

freaking guys, i cant help it; when ever i get closed in with an attorney things always seem to become interesting..!
hehe - he had a sapphire ring also, i have a sapphire faced watch - which is set to the "wrong" time - hahaha
