^ yup
My facebook wall in filled with people celebrating. I know he was a bad man and did some fucked up shit, but I'm not down with celebrating death really. Also at this point I feel like his demise is more symbolic than anything.
Yeah I just read that as well.
What does this mean in terms of the al-Qaeda?? Will anything change?
I completely agree man!! Mind you, I'm Australian so it doesn't really hold as much significance as it does to you Americans. Although I understand why people are celebrating, but yeah, like you said, it's a symbolic thing.
I find it lame when everyone is cheering that Osama Bin Laden is dead because more than half of those people didn't give a shit about it before.
I think you would be hard pressed to find many people in the States who didn't give a shit about Bin Laden and what he did.

I'm afraid it will mean Al-Qaeda will amp up their efforts rather than feeling defeated.
Unfortunately a Martyrdom is good publicity for any cause!
..... From the standpoint of someone who has family going to war over this bullshit, I'm nervous. i'm not celebrating, but I am not unhappy either- but I AM scared for what will come of it.
