I actually have no idea what was with the sunnies! Some guys brought them and were wearing them inside (??) and after quite a few drinks we decided to have a bit of fun with them :)

....the sunnies, not the guys... :D

Yeah, I'm safe. I'm working a red cross shelter, and it seems to be calming down. We get tornado warnings frequently and run to the hallways, but its alright. Wind is about 40 mph, with much higher gust n the last coule hours.

Highways near the beach are completely flooded.

I took pictures earlier when I could still get around in some dudes hummer he let us use. I'll post those tomorrow or something.

Roof damage, windows out, trees down, no power... that sort of thing.

But we are safe, and my home ( which is actually farther from the hurricane) should be fine, I hope.


Also, off topic, but I hope things work out for you with your new place.
 
I must be skimming threads too quickly.. I just could have sworn I saw you were looking for a new place! I'm so sorry...

Home Sweet Home

I am finally at home. Most of you know I left my husband a few eeks ago and have been living in a hotel on the beach without my kids, but I decided to come home.


Anyway, storm wise we did great here. My yard is nasty and full of limbs and such, but no damage which is fab!


Thanks for all the good thoughts. Feels so good to be in my home again.
