TDS Photo Thread Vs. Snow Day!

Oh thank you herbavore and Vaya *blush* I've just always thought they are a really boring colour,and I'd love to have more green in them like pastelcircus <3

Ahh sorry,force of habit footscrazy :\ I've been modelling since I was 11,and picking yourself and others to pieces for "flaws" is completely normal behaviour in the industry.I was a straight size model in my teens,I was an hourglass shape size 10,and I was constantly told "great face,shame about the body",and "you'd be perfect if you lost about 10kg and got a breast reduction". Yeah,guess who ended up with an eating disorder,major depressive disorder and panic attacks? To this day,whenever I get pics back from a photo shoot,I instantly zero in on what's wrong with the pic and find it hard to see myself as a whole,and not just a bunch of flaws with some good bits.

MissNervosa, that's a tough one, I can imagine that'd take a toll on anyone's self esteem, no matter how thick their skin is. Do you enjoy doing it now? I has a disastrous couple of interactions with modelling, and got much the same criticisms as you. One time I was walking on a stage in a bikini and someone in the audience said 'what a pig!' :| I couldn't find the motivation to take it in my stride, so I'm impressed you've persevered :)
 
Oh that's awful footscrazy :( Was it one of those Ralph/Zoo/Whatever bikini babe contests? Those things are absolutely brutal!!

Plus size modelling is a lot more down to earth than straight size modelling,probably because no one is cranky from being hungry all the time :p I enjoy it alot more now,as it's not really a career anymore.I'm freelance and can pick and choose what to apply for,and do TFCD with photographers just to have fun and get creative.It's nice to not have an agent dictating everything to you.

I'm still a total camera whore,and one of the things I love is when you're shooting and connecting with the photographer,and everything just falls into place and you know you're getting some awesome shots.You're just in the zone and it feels fantastic :)

The restaurant we ate in tonight randomly had a bowl full of bows for sale for $2 each. I know there's a story behind them and I wish I knew it.
