I posted this picture over in SO but it is such a great picture that I wanted to put it here, too. This is the cliff above my favorite beach. I love the way you can look down at the backs of the pelicans and seagulls as they fly by.
 
ya ive had quite the journey the last couple years. was homeless on skid row for some time then to alot of rehabs, now im three months into the salvation army program, and its going great!!!

not too bad hey.. mind you, it's my first ever attempt at drawing an owl.

Herb that picture of the cliff 8o. Honestly I have difficulty looking at your pictures because of how stunning Cali looks in all of your pictures. That was is the most serious one you've ever posted though. The cliff looks like a sheer drop too. It must be the most spectacular sight in the world from the top of it.

And you and your husband. <3 The picture has such a brightness to it. That is such a beautiful picture of you two.

I agree. It feels to me that keeping birds in cages is more cruel than keeping rabbits or guinea pigs in them.

I went to a pet shop once that had heaps and heaps of birds in cages, making so much noise. There was one sun parrot in a small cage in the corner and looking at it really devastated me, I felt bad for all the birds there, but this one had such a spirit of despair around him. He was sitting with his claw over his face like a person would sit with their head in their hands and to this day, that image just haunts me. I'm scared that if I went back to that shop, years later, he'd still be in the exact same spot.
