i am in the "old country", such as it is in this newish country, so in the parks here there are often crumbled houses that you'll come across. 10 minutes walk from that picture is the oldest road bridge in north america.

Wow, Trees, where are you? I WANT those rounded concrete shapes. I actually got in trouble recently for taking stuff from the landfill. Whenever I go, I leave with more than I brought.

Once when my son Caleb was in preschool he had to dictate a Mothers Day message to me through his teacher and he wrote: "My mom is happiest when she finds piles of dirt or broken concrete because she makes stuff". It was true and apparently it still is!

Are you also having a heat wave? Monday and Tuesday topped 100 degrees where I live which is unheard of by the ocean (happens inland) and especially in October.

Sometimes, I don't mind that "dark" feeling and sometimes it's awful. I hope yours was not awful or that if it was, it has passed.

Question for everyone: How in the hell is it already Wednesday? I woke up this morning thinking it was Monday.
