I love haunted places and this looks beautiful. What work are you doing there?

Ahh I love all these pics!! Happy to see the photo thread jumpin again =D

^ That just reinforces that I want to move to the south one day. And I will. =D

Today I drove halfway up to Seattle from Portland to meet my old friend that was one of my support people at Caleb's birth. We had a great time together laughing and crying and laughing again. I asked the waitress if she could get a picture of us before we started blubbering and she did.

and this is where I am staying in Oregon on the Tualatin River:

Hotel Sterling (on the left) circa 1830 (built in 1898 ) from my hometown. Although it was an ugly decrepit building these days, the sign "Hotel Sterling" always was a pretty sight coming over the bridge between the two eagles. It reminded me of what a beautiful living place my hometown used to be before the flood of 1972 took it down. A bit sad to see it go, It had a lot of history within it's walls.

A picture of the flood of 2011 which crested at 41' (the height of the levys). In 1972 the levys broke and the entire town became a river.

^ that is so sad. :(

More river pictures from me:

Bluelight on the dock, or have MAC, will travel:

Green, green Pacific Northwest:

and after BL, kayaking!

This river did flood once, Stardust, and my sister lost her house. It seems impossible to believe but it rose up to her 2nd story windows. The house now has a 5 foot high flow through foundation.

Wait you have a dock on the river or is that a public dock? I do envy your location very much Herby. My boyfriend loves kayaking, I still have yet to try it. Looks super fun!
