Ocean-- yeah, part of the hamming it up was that we scrambled the name tags on the table. Andrew is my brother. Weddings are boring, so we were trying to amuse ourselves as best we could. The image is cut off, but I actually have my arm around my invisible 'date', to match photos taken of the two other couples at the table.

PIP-- I envy your green thumb. I'm currently in the process of killing both a bamboo plant and a norfolk pine, apparently both pretty hardy houseplants.

PIP-- I envy your green thumb. I'm currently in the process of killing both a bamboo plant and a norfolk pine, apparently both pretty hardy houseplants.

its mostly attributed to ocd, patience, and an inert sense of balance. read about what you are growing, every asprct must be considered , you dave, are mother nature! wow huh?

i bet your bamboo should be fed a very very light vegetative nutrient( (N2 P1 K1) 1/3 strength once a month for the nutrients and watered with a neutral ph.

your evergreen, though would like a ph of 5.9-6.5 the same ferts, but more often or at a grater strength, i am certain the evergreen wont take much watering, let the soil dry out before watering again, you are most likely over watering, that is the most common problem, i catch my self tring too often, but its more patience involved to add to your character and plants health!

read read study study!

i love talking about growing anything, so pm me if you have any other Q's, maybe i can answer or point you towards someone who can.

is a necessity, especially for plants such as yours. they have a full line of ferts to apply though out the growth stages. but your plants arent going to flower so a strict vegatative diet will help them, the sea weed and bat guano in that will form microorganisms that bind to and protect your root system from harmful microorganisms. like phagocytes, or an antibiotic.

G/L!

I threw him straight back in of course, poor little guy. Seeing him gasping and flipping around made me sad and reminded me of why I hate fishing :|

Oh and kindly ignore my hilarious sea-hair =D

Yeah its like watching someone suffocate. It sad :( But he looks cute. Makes me think "just keep swimming, just keep swimming, swimming, swimming, swimming ...."

^^ Awww thank you hun!! <3

PT that is so cute haha. I totally have that little tune in my head now =D

ocean, I think he was a brim?? I just caught him with a little hand line, no reel or anything. They were all around us so catching one was foolproof haha.

Sorry n3o, couldn't see any sea hair past the awesome dimples. :)

I can trace my vegetarianism (at least partly) back to watching a fish suffocate and bleed to death through its gills on an ice fishing trip. My grandfather never believed in catch-and-release, and never caught any less than his limit. By the end of the day there was a pile of bloody, frozen fish corpses piled by the truck, and all I wanted to do was throw them back.

So good on ya for letting the little guy go n3o!

Umm even I am bothered by that and I love meat too much to stop eating it... but eww...
I'm ok as long as my food no longer looks like the animal it is.
I got a chicken feather on a fried wing once and OMG that was SO bad!!

^^ I agree wholeheartedly PT!! I adore meat and could never give it up, but seeing animals actually suffer for prolonged periods of time is just awful :(

Dave, I can definitely see how that would've contributed to your vegetarianism!

I must apologise in advance because I've been whoring this thread up a bit lately, and I swear this will be the last set of pics from me for a while! But my little brother's girlfriend posted some photos of us girls at a friend's hens night recently and there are some nice ones of me and my big sister. We are looking more and more alike as we get older.

But more to the point, my sister is one of the most kind-hearted, generous, most beautiful people on this planet and I am so honoured to be related to her :) <3

Oh and just for the record, I have another older sister who is just as wonderful but has lived away from Sydney for most of our adult lives so I don't get to spend as much time with her. She is amazing too though :) <3
