TDS TDS Pets thread vs. now with added SCOMFF!

I have always been a dog person and I never believed it when people said cats are smarter than dogs. I now know cats learn way faster than dogs. I've had the kitten 3 days and she already knows her name and comes and jumps on my lap when I call her. And then she proceeds to attack my arms because she's a crazy :P.

Cats are definitely awesome :). My boyfriend who was the one holding me back from getting one (since there seems to be this stigma about cats) even is starting to love the cat. Her antics are hilarious and I think he loves how smart she is.
 
I knew you had it in you to be a cat person. My plans are coming into place nicely.

Srsly LOLd. I might stop back later for another LOL. I love "excellent" memes.

I was going to take it back since she was literally hanging over a ledge with her head and front paws hanging as she was sleeping and I came outside and she got all excited and fell off it like 2 feet. But now I know it's because she know's she gets more cookies if she does funny things or gets excited when she sees me. Smart kitty is smart :sus:.
 
Finally had a chance to let the kitten inside the bedroom (as opposed to staying in the lanai outside only).

She was much braver with the dogs inside than she is outside. She contiuously kept lauching and attacking them. The two older ones got bored and or keen to it quick and went somewhere not on the bed but out puppy stayed.

Yeah, I really have my hopes up that he'll improve. I've been thinking about him and you a lot. Pets are such a wonderful part of life and it can be scary when your fur baby gets sick.
 
You can always go to an animal shelter and volunteer your time and love to some cats who need it. :)

I swear my kitties know when I'm sad, even if I don't cry. Today one of my boys jumped right up in bed with me, crawled under the covers, and laid has back right along my stomach with his head near my heart. It's so comforting! This happen to anyone else? <3
 
^Yep. :) Azrael knows when I need her the most. <3 It's part of why I love cats so much. They might be finicky, but they have a sense of telling when their humans need to be comforted and act accordingly.

I think that dog might be a lesbian. She's enjoying nekkid cuddle times waaaaaay too much if you ask me? Not that I'm blaming her, obviously. I'm just sayin'.

And RX, yeah, cats and dogs are pretty good at knowing when they're needed, they pick up on the vibes so well. Much better than my ferrets in that respect who'd be all 'Hey, I see you're thoroughly miserable. Bribe me with malt paste and I just might forget to bite you really, really hard' and shit. G*d knows why I ever thought ferrets might be good for cuddles, I must be some kind of bleedin' idiot or summink. :(

When I was much younger my neighbor had ferrets! They were fun but could be mean lol. I miss playing with them.
