TB Antibiotics and Ecstasy

Hi guys,

So I've been diagnosed with TB and been prescribed these 4 antibiotics for the next 6 months:
Isoniazid - apparently it's okay to roll on this from my research?
Rifampicin - some say it's okay, some say it would put too much pressure on the liver/immune system?
Ethambutol or Myambutol - no idea...
Pyrazinamide - no idea...

I was diagnosed exactly 1 week ago and I haven't rolled in almost a month. I know that there are 2 types of bacteria - active and inactive. I'm keeping my body crossed that within the next 2-3 weeks, the antibiotics will have made the bacteria inactive. My question is, once the bacteria are inactive I won't be having the symptoms anymore - fever, chills, cough, etc., I know I'm still going to have to take the antibiotics every single day, but would it be okay to roll on these antibiotics? Also, how much liver damage would it cause because these meds aren't exactly liver/immune system friendly?

To be honest, it is never a good idea to roll when you have a serious infection. Dangers from the antibiotics aside, your immune system takes an absolute pounding from MDMA and with something as serious as TB, I wouldn't recommend rolling until you're well over the infection.

You're on quite a cocktail that by itself can cause liver failure. I highly advise against stressing your system out any further.

I agree. Almost every event that I roll at causes me to become sick afterwards. That's because of the hit your immune system takes. Not only are you already sick to begin with when this happens, you are on a cocktail of meds too. That's asking for trouble, I'm not saying you'll absolutely get in trouble but the chance is great...

I don't think there's any way to safely roll while on these medications, unfortunately...as others have said, both your liver and your immune system (specifically CD4 T helper cells, the cells that initiate the immune response) take quite a hit when on MDMA, and when on antibiotics. One antibiotic might be okay, providing there's no bad drug interactions, but 4 of them and I would say there's no way. The risk is too high.

If you decide that you must take MDMA in the next six months, evidence has shown that re-dosing throughout the night causes significantly more strain on your liver each time, not just "1 pill = this amount of damage and 2 pills = twice as much" but more like "1 causes this amount and 2 causes several times more" if that makes any sense. So if you choose to roll, do NOT re-dose, and take a smaller dose than you normally would as your liver is already weakened and will not be able to break it down as quickly/easily. However, my advice is to completely stay away from M altogether. The most common cause of acute liver failure (meaning you don't have a condition such as cirrhosis that results in chronic liver failure) is overdosing on drugs/medications/other toxins, and often the only way the person survives is if they can get a liver transplant. Livers are very serious business and if you're already on several medications, it's best to avoid any situation that would place unnecessary strain on yours.
