Luna, lean down
my pale mistress
enchant me
bathe me in your glow

rejuvenate me,
oh best of reflections

cast your spell once more
mend the shadow back onto my skin
it just might stay this time

here, use my last thread of sanity
please

pinch me awake with your incantations
bring it together through inspiration
for it's hard to find the light
beneath these clouds
or something worth saving
in this vast wasteland

my walls break down or they cave right in
ghosts chase me through
labyrinthine dreams
whispering the most cryptic things
leaving me in bouts
of confused wandering

pull me out of this
bring it all together again
broaden my sense of importance
help me recognize
the irrelevant

up and down is arbitrary I suppose
though never circles and tug-o-war
perhaps love is a mere illusion,
just a hormonally-induced
form of temporary insanity

though never have I missed so much
the taste of such a lie.

Nice circular structure. I also like the supernatural/occult imagery and lexicon. This is wonderful overall, and I can imagine it getting even better. I vote that you keep on editing. This poem deserves it. Remember, a work of art is never finished.
