Hi guys and gals,

I've posted this question in the main forums but thought being an australian prescription maybe its only available here.

Anyway, I've been given some Targin which is Oxycontin 20mg and Naloxone Hydrochloride diyhdrate 10mg tablets to help with the usual blocked up symptom of Oxy on its own. What ive been doing with the oxy is biting them in half to get a quicker effect from them and I want to continue to do so with the Targin but dont want any un-wanted reactions from it. Will the quicker dose of the laxative part of the tablets make me wanting to run to the dunny every 10 minutes?

Anyone here used it and have any experience with it?

I don't think the naloxone will be that significant of a factor, but it really depends on your tolerance. How much oxy are you intending to use? Generally I wouldn't think the naloxone's laxative effects would ruin the high, especially considering they can reduce the constipation which opiates generally bring (which I presume is why the naloxone is put in it other than to avoid alternative ROA abuse).

EDIT:
Also, I've read your latest posts and I noticed a pattern in which you just start a thread, sometimes twice, regarding the abuse of these common drugs, and not replying back with a thankyou or anything. Please use the search engine and post the question in a currently active thread about Oxycodone or similar. And consider using the Other Drugs (OD) board for queries like this if you want - especially if you're not Australian. The reason why I tell you this is because it floods up the boards and, in some cases, it can result in another person's more urgent thread being dismissed. This is the reason why Megathreads, FAQ's, and the search engine are here for you.

I'm not sure whether or not you can make two threads regarding the same question or not if the threads are from different boards, so I'll leave a moderator to that. Either way, I don't think I have the right to tell you; I'm just letting you know it might be against the rules.

I hope you'll deliver a "thankyou" to some of the members on Australian Drug Discussion (ADD), because anybody who takes the time of answering your questions should deserve, at the very least, a thankyou.

Either way, welcome to ADD; I haven't seen you around here before.

Hey mate, thanks for the reply.

I'm not a huge poster and very rarely do I come into the forum but I'll take your advice onboard that's for sure.

I'm prescribed meds for a few psych problems and some for chronic pain. I take them as directed but do sometimes like to use them recreationally. I'm too paranoid to use illicit stuff so I stick to the prescribed stuff for when I want to get euphoric. I admit I am a bit selfish here, but really I have little knowledge on the subjects therefore not really much to share, hence my username!! Lol
 
Prescription stuff keeps you safe from the crap that goes around in streets, so that's a bonus. I never actually knew naloxone was used as a laxative in these products, so I guess you learn something knew everyday. The naloxone is nothing to worry about unless you're taking 100+mg of oxies a day, especially seeing as how the oral Lethal Dose (50) is 1000mg/kg* as tested in rats and mice. From what I understand naloxone, similarly to Naltrexone (?), has an extremely low bioavailability and, so long as it's taken orally, regular or slightly above regular doses are only effective as laxatives, apparently.
I think the naloxone is a blessing in disguise, I can't tell you how many shit-related ventures I've delved into because of the chronic constipation opiates give me. Let's just say I've been through enough to desensitize me to some horrible, horrible stuff.

you will be fine aslong as you keep to taking them orally.....DO NOT snort or plug these,the ammount of nalxone in these causes you to go into PWD if you do happen to snort em (witch i found out the hard way)and crush em til there powder then bomb em


i made a thread about these last year sometime.....look up in the bluelight search engine "can you plug targin?"

its just an excuse! it makes no dif what so ever.....i used to take targin and oxynorm and would notice NO diffrence when going number 2 a day or 2 after......from what ive read ANYONE under 30 will be givin targin insted of the usual oxycontin........i guess im a lucky one nalxone causes me to have really scary dreams i told the doctor this so she switched me to MS contin and oxynorms :D

I guess I'm an unlucky one naloxone won't let me get high so I told the doctor this and she hit me repeatedly.
 
I read the thread mate, but it's just got me confused to be honest.

All I really want to do is bite them in half so I get the same effect as if I was biting a normal Oxy in half. Can I still do this and be safe? I'm only needing about 60mg Oxy to get comfy.

Did you have the shits (literally)? Otherwise - what's the difference? If you want to change back just ask your doctor - if he says no then at least you tried.
 
I'm just finding them not as viable as the normal ones when bitten in half. They haven't literally given me the shits but I'm more regular than before!
 
I'll try crushing then bombing. Bombing I believe is just wrapping it all crushed in tissue and then swallowing them is that right??

I thought that was called parachuting, but I think bombing is another term for it too. Anyway, that might work better - it won't hurt to try.
 
I'm off the Targin now, it was wreaking havoc on my stomach and honestly giving me nightmares! Back to simple oxy for me!!

yes u will be fine but i would always crush them up before consuming
 
I beleive that theoretically doing targin orally is fine, but I've only ever had bad experiences with it even taken orally.... brining on withdrawal effects.

My background was:

Taking 20mg or 40mg of oxycontin (three a day) and a 10mcg Norspan patch and was changed to Targin. Even swallowing the targin whole brought on withdrawals and left me with no analgesia. The withdrawal was even more extreme when parachuted. Please report back as to how you go parachuting the targin. I'm interested to know if it works for you (as it seems to work for Junkie S but not for me). I wonder whether the naloxone knocks me because I also have the Norpan patch.

Frustrates me, as I have quite a few cards of Targin and have a shortage of pain relief, but no way of using the targin to get rid of my pain for some unknown reason >_<
 
Hi guys,

My tolerance for Oxy is rising quickly and I've found myself using more and more each day. I'm weaning myself down from about 200mg a day at the moment cause at this rate in going through my stash too quickly. My ROA is just bite in half and off I go. I'm wondering if crushing and plugging 20mg will be more potent than chewing 20mg? I'm definitely not willing to IV as I have zero idea how to anyway.

Will the crush and plug see me needing less for the same result??
