Hola my bluelighter amigos.
My situation:

Heavily abused benzos starting from last August which escalated from 1mg a day to nearly 14 mg a day of Alprazolam (Xanax) throughout the day.
For the last two months, I've been using longer acting benzos i.e. Clonazepam (Klonopin) and Diazepam (Valium).

Depending on what medication was available:
DAILY DOSAGES: For the past couple months
Diazepam - Ranging anywhere from 40-100 mg a day. 40 would take away the zaps, but I'd still have that weird feeling in my head, followed by IBS and major fatigue.
Clonazepam - Ranging from 6-10 mg a day.

Couple of weeks ago, I went in and they prescribed me 25 ten mg Diazepam pills to last me for 3 weeks. 3 WEEKS.
I've been following the doctors schedule and have not strayed from taking any more than prescribed, but I have set up a doctors appointment on Friday and I still have the appropriate amount of pills left over.

I missed a whole week of school due to me not being able to get up and experiencing moderate - severe (not really) withdrawal symptoms.
My plan is to go in on Friday, bring in the bottle, ask for a different physician, and tell them that what they have prescribed JUST ISN'T WORKING.
I have not been able to function, I've already suffered a week, and I've proven that I have the will to quit by not over dosing.

If anyone has had ANY sort of experience with this, please help me out.
I want to get my dosage raised, at least to 40 mg a day to start with, but I don't want to be seen as a drug seeker. Even though they probably already see me as one.
So please, any input would be greatly appreciated.
I'll send you a Ps3 and an Ipad if you can help me out.

If you are expecting a physician to prescribe you anything else besides diazepam to taper with then forget it. Diazepam is the drug that is used to taper down from other benzos, if you can't use diazepam for any reason then they'll give you chlordiazepoxide (Librium) instead. You don't want that.

You can simply just tell your doctor that the dosage of diazepam is a little low and you are experiencing some withdrawal symptoms and he'd probably raise the dose slightly. If he doesn't, ask him to. There is nothing wrong with asking your doctor that, especially if you can prove to him that you are using them the way you were told to. Having open dialogue with your doctor is always a good idea.

He isn't experiencing "severe" withdrawals as he already claimed. So he's on the right track, he just needs to be honest with his doctor and ask for a little higher dose of diazepam as he is experiencing some withdrawals. It's straightforward, no second opinion needed. It's not like he's being diagnosed with cancer. It's simple BZD withdrawals.

Thanks for the inputs.
But I'm not looking to change medications.
I was just wanting a raise in my diazepam dosage.
I really want to get off these benzos, more than anything on my list of priorities. I just want the appropriate dosage and proper schedule (2 weeks was what my original provider suggested, pfffttt).
Crossing my fingers...

I wasn't suggesting they resume high dose xanax.

My point being, if I were in their shoes, I would need more than just valium. A blood pressure medication like metaprolol would be nice too, and atarax wouldn't hurt.

Atarax yes, and maybe some clonidine to help with blood pressure and even sleep.

Thanks for the inputs.

Just ask your doctor to raise your diazepam dose a little. I don't think there will be a big issue with that.

Any tips on what i should say? I'm not the most articulate person and have a hard time conveying what I truely mean.

I just don't want to come off as an addict who's just looking to get his fix.
Much appreciate my dudes.

As said above we can't help you break the law by conning your doctor into giving you scripts. This is covered in the BLUA.
