I was everywhere the other day and not focused on anything in particular. It was likely the klonopin. I'm starting to taper off to a lower dose. I realize that while it's good to relax, I also need to not be so relaxed that I can't focus. So I'm just going to take less and take it around noon. I take hydroxyzine and celexa so there's a safety net sort of. I'm also waiting on a 2m2bOH(2-methyl-2-butanol) order. That way, I'll move on to something else and take less of the benzo. I used to take 0.5mg or more of klonopin a day. That's going to change! I'm ok now, and I'm just fuguring out some strategy. I'm still smart, I just had mild retrograde amnesia for a while. Now it's not there as much. I suffered from extreme anxiety and PTSD. I might still have it, but it's being treated.

How long have you been taken Kpins? You say you want to cut back, but 0.5mg of klonopin a day is hardly a high dose. Or do you want to reduce the amount of days you take klonopin, e.g. only 3 days a week instead of 7. Either way, depending on how long you have been taking klonopin daily you may want to be careful. Cutting back to a very low dose may bring out withdrawal and hightened anxiety, be sure you know exaclty what your plan is and how it is going to affect your mental and physical health.

Good luck!

I've taken Kpins for like a few months. I know 0.5mg Klonopin isn't that high a dose, but I just feel like sometimes it's good to take less or sometimes skip a day or two. I don't take 0.5mg Klonopin a day anymore, I sometimes take 2/3 of that (0.34mg) or 1/2 of that (0.25mg) dose, sometimes the whole 1 pill, I still take 2 tablets sometimes when I really need it. I took 2m2bOH a couple of times. I'll probably take the 2m2bOH(2-methyl-2-butanol) once or twice a week. %) It's going pretty well most days, but there are a few bad days and I just need to think that we all have a few bad days sometimes. :\

I'm now only taking 1/4 of a Klonopin tablet(0.125mg) to 1 tablet(0.5mg) every 4 days and in general less than 1mg Klonopin a week. I take the celexa almost daily and hydroxyzine sometimes. For klonopin, I reduced both the amount and the frequency. There's 17 klonopin tablets left, but I think they'll last for months because of the lowered dose. Each klonopin contains 0.5mg of klonopin. I have 1 prescription paper for a month's supply, but I saving it for next year. I have 500ml 2-methyl-2-butanol and perhaps 450mg are left, but I only use it once in a while and go to a place with semi-flat music because of there being no other place that's funner and because of the affordable entrance fee.

I only take klonopin occasionally now.

Every time I get a new Klonopin script I take way more then I should even though it gives me a bad headache and makes me sick. Does anyone else do this or have this problem?

I had the same problem with lorazepam and estazolam before I switched to clonazepam. I was getting prescriptions for even 360mg of clonazepam at once, I was at 6mg a day then and I honestly didn't feel like taking more because it didn't work any more anyway. I wish I had never got addicted to benzodiazepines in the first place, I've been suffering from depression and recurring social anxiety all my life, and although benzodiazepines at the very beginning helped me with the anxiety, they didn't make the quality of my life any better in any way at all. I tried quitting them for much longer than I took them to ease my anxiety, I guess that sums it all up.

SkyblueMolly, I frankly advise you to quit clonazepam and not to switch to alternative GABAergics like you're planning to, because they're not going to fix your problems at all, you'll just get numbed for some time, but then you'll have to pay a ridiculously high price for that. This is absolutely not the way for you, I got addicted to BZDs when I was 14 and I was addicted for 9 years, I'm slowly recovering but I'm a wreck anyway suffering from depersonalisation and having mood swings many times a day, I'm unable to feel lasting pleasure from anything and nothing makes me happy.
