If you choose to use buprenorphine to help you detox from opiates, be sure to wait until you are in moderate withdrawals before dosing it. This will ensure that you do not experience precipitated withdrawals from doing buprenorphine while other opiates are still on your receptors. For drugs like heroin and oxycodone, waiting 24 hours should be enough time to wait before dosing the bupe.
Buprenorphine is very potent, so start with a very small dose. I see that you said that you typically take about 30mgs of oxycodone, so you may be better off not taking any bupe since it may actually make things worse since it may be more potent that what you are already taking. If you choose to use the bupe, take no more than 1/4 of the 1mg that you have. I have known a lot of people that got sick from taking bupe when they had a relatively low tolerance, so if you really decide to use it, then tread lightly, and start with 1/8 of the 1mg, and give it a good hour before re-dosing if you feel the need to.
Like I said before, don't take anymore than 1/4 of the 1mg, and I don't think that you should dose after that. Bupe lasts a very long time, so should keep the withdrawals away for up to 3 or 4 days, and you may find that the one dose will relieve your withdrawals and you may not have to take another dose of it. I have had the most success tapering off of opiates using buprenorphine when I only took one dose of it, and I only experience 1 night of light withdrawals a few days later.
If you take the buprenorphine for several days, it may increase your tolerance and make the withdrawals worse in the end. Since it is a partial agonist/antagonist, it may not feel as euphoric as the oxycodone, but that doesn't mean that it isn't working well. All you should be looking for in it is for it to relieve the withdrawal symptoms.
Personally, I don't think that buprenorphine should be used for anyone with a tolerance less than 60mg of oxycodone, unless they have been taking the oxycodone daily for a period of 4+ months, and even then I would recommend my low dosage guide above.
