Opioids Tapering off benzos and subutex.

First let me give you some history. I am a 21 year old male, I weigh about 150 pounds, I have a history of drug dependency but for the most part was clean until

August, when I was in so much pain so my doctor RX'd me tramadol. That soon wasn't enough (I'm an addict, it never is) and I began taking up to 400mg of the

shit a day and it still wasn't hitting the receptors like it used to. SO instead of trying to taper off tramadol with tramadol, he put me on the all too familiar subutex. Now

let me add that I have successfully tapered myself off of everything before using subutex a couple years ago. I've been on subutex and am down to 3mg a day. I had

a speech class last semester which lead me to have my dr RX me 2mg of Klonopin a day, long story short, I got another dr to start giving me 2mg of Alprazolam a day as well.

So all in all we are looking at me

beginning on Subutex in September at 8mg, now I am down to 3mg a day.

I've been on a total of 4mg a day of Alprazolam and Klonopin for about 3 months as well.

I Really strive to live a sober live and recogize that I dont need these drugs. and

feedback would be nice. I live on the east coast and its especially cold right now so

quitting opiates is really fucking hard to do in the winter for me. As far as how to

get offf of the benzodiazepines I need your guy's help, Which one of these drugs

should I get off of first, the opioid or the benzodiazepine? Thanks for your time.

Opioid than the benzodiazepine, for a few reasons:

1) Opioid WD is easier than benzo WD, many, many, other bluelighters will agree with me on this.
2) You're probably going to want to use your benzos during the opioid WD.
3) You can switch to Valium for your benzo WD and have a long taper. 4mg alprazolam is a decent amount, and alprazolam is one of the most addictive benzos, at least in my experience.
