Ex-Bluelighter
Any other Bluelighters logging in while laying down in a hospital bed? I have osteomyelitis dream from shooting roxies without a micron filter. Never use just a cotton: in my experience, even when you're attempting to be completely sterile, 1/2 times some kind of bacteria will get into the solution. And in my recent lows, I was by no means trying to be completely sterile. I shot up a dangerous staph-related pathogen and now I have to live with the consequence: the damn infection found its way to my neck, created a horrible diskitis in my spine, and chewed a decent chunk out of the bodies of my C4+C5 vertabraes. Docs say 60 more days and I would've been a paraplegic.
There were no symptoms other than abruptly growing shooting and spastic pain coming from my neck. When my vertabrae bodies collapsed on one another, leaving me with a debilitating cevical spine abnormality and the inability to look up at the stars. When my gf tied my dreadlocks back, she saw the protrusion created by the whole mess in my spine and prompted me to get an MRI. This is how I found out. Since then, the pain has quaddrupled. Ive been in the hospital for 15 days now getting IV Rosephen and they administer the following for pain...
+ My usual Rx'd 30mg Roxicodone, every 6hrs. + 3mg IV Dilaudid, every 3hrs. + 2mg IV Lorazepam, every 8hrs. + 800mg Neurontin every 6hrs.
For the most part, this has been unchanged for the last 2weeks, minus some days when I had aspirations of my neck and theyd give me an extra dose of Dilaudid. Or days with 4hrs of MRIs and theyd dose me with 4mg Ativan instead.. the above is what Im both used to getting and dependant on. Here is my point..
Today one of my docs waltzed in to let me know my liver enzymes are back to normal and my inflammation levels are down. With me, this is usually a precursor to lower pain levels! I'm already not feeling as acutely in 9/10 pain levels anymore. Usually my pain is at a 7/10, and recently, rarely an 8.
I would love a taper plan, rapid as I might only have a week left. I also need help with one that assumes I have 2-3 weeks left. My Ativan should essentially be cut down to nothing... and I have had seizures on the past. This is what I'm most worried about.
Upon discharge, my script for 3 or 4 Roxy30s a day isn't going anywhere. Thanks in advance guys.
