After some research here and there, I mean chemical structure and different receptors targeted, vs morphine, I can give some preliminary findings on Tapentadol, a compound apparently similar to tramadol, but in reality a quite a stronger opiate, either in pain killing and psychological effects.
For a naive user, it is suggested to try 200 mg, chewing the extended release pills. Tapentadol is a compound that targets mu receptors and in the same time inhibits norepinephrine re-uptake, so a light raise in blood pressure can happen. The effects are quite in the middle between oxy and tramadol, more vs oxy than tram. It kicks in in about an hour, empty stomach. The most of the people who tried it do not feel any or very light euphoric effect, though a little lightheaded may occur. You never feel so high as with DHC or oxy, but it makes you avoid the craving, if you are in the situation of dependence.
It seems to work very good also as a pain killer, but I had to augment it with FANS, to obtain a good effect on my back pain.
Excuse me for the shortness of the infos, but this is not a trip experience, and I just wanted to give some impression on this new compound.
At the end, bottom line: expect an effect of a medium grade, not worth to raise the dosage (adverse effects can be unpleasant).
