Taking Xanax to comedown off Mephedrone -- Is this safe?

Hello!

I'm going to be taking mephedrone with some friends here in the next couple of weeks for the first time in quite a while. I used to do this shit all the time about 2 years ago, but quickly learned that was not a lifestyle that was sustainable if I wanted to be a productive human being. It has probably been close to a year since the last time any of us tried mephedrone.

I would like to avoid the nasty comedown that mepehdrone can give you and be able to get some sleep after the party. Is it safe to take xanax after taking mephedrone to kill the comedown? I have never taken xanax before.

Safe? Probably. But you don't want to fall into patterns of abuse with benzos. Just don't take an ungodly amount or do it more than 1-2 times per week.
 
Okay, thanks for the information. This is definitely not a 1-2 times per week thing, this is a once a year deal. I'm only looking for an easier way to comedown without having to drink ridiculous amounts of alcohol and wreck my body.

Venrak's totally right. One should just start with a small dose like .5 mg or 1 mg and wait at least an hour before taking more. It's a well known fact Alprazolam blackouts turn people into blithering idiots and make them do things they'd regret if they could remember. Also, after taking Xanax while coming down one may begin to feel extremely tempted to go back for more speed...
 
Yeah safe, but even after MASSIVE 4mmc abuse in my day, I never really got a "comedown." Like if I snorted it, 1 time, maybe 4hrs later I'd be able to sleep. Nothing like amphetamines. Course I've had psychotic incidents and just fairly long-lasting overstimulation, but that would be after a few grams in a day.
 
I wonder if mepherdone is the same thing in those 8 ballz bath salt shit they sell that ruined my best friends life.
 
Just bear in mind there is "safe" in relation to the risk of overdose or harm for that session, in which case it could be "safe", mand then there is "safe" in relation to whether its healthy or not to do in the long term, in which case it might not be.
 
yes safe indeed. ER's use benzos for stimulant overdoses such as cocaine, amphetamines. when your vitals are skyrocketing, they will use Ativan or valium to bring yours blood pressure and heart rate back to normal. it's not dangerous like speedballing, or using opiates to come down, there is a lot of health risks when mixing opiates with stims that r too complicated for me to explain. but if hospitals give benzs for hyptertension of stim overdoses, it's safe!
