Hey everyone, I had a quick question for those who would know most about this.. it is something I have wondered for a little while.

Before I ever got on Suboxone in the long run for a year + , I took Percs, OCs, Heroin, Suboxone etc. recreationally as anyone else would have.

I usually never took Suboxone for recreationally purposes after I got into a really bad habit and knew what was what.

But I ocassionally did take Suboxone from time to time, and I know some people still do, in very small doses for a recreational type of high. One that is - Not nodding, not very sedating not like taking heroin but one that is more sociable, uplifting, warm feeling, etc.

I was wondering this since I begun getting off of Suboxone once and for all. It has now been over a month since I have taken Suboxone. I have been taking Kratom and it has been a miracle to say the least

I was wondering, with this time off of Suboxone and my body clear of it and my Opiate tolerence down (I know it is down because I took Percs a week ago and a dose that would do very little did A LOT more than it normally would), would taking a LITTLE suboxone have recreational effects?

I want to know just because as with anyone you need to learn moderation and opiates are something I may never be able to completely stop and it is something we all need from time to time, something a little uplifting. Some its alcohol, others its drugs.. so I was wondering if I were to take .5, 1mg - 2mg or Suboxone right now.. would I feel the recreational effects that I would before?

I WOULD have already taken it, but my ONLY concern is that taking Suboxone ONE day might somehow restart the cycle of withdrawals and being on Kratom? I haven't read anything on taking Suboxone for this purpose months, weeks, etc. after being clean and on Kratom ... it is too hard to find with all the info being on KRATOM FOR SUBOXONE.

But, aren't you still taking the kratom? If you are, aren't you worried about precipitated WD?

No... I don't see why I would be worried about it. Kratom IS NOT an opiate, therefore .. how can it cause anytype of precipiated withdrawal?

I mean, the other week when I DID take actually opiates, Perc 10s , I took Kratom during the day.. then I took the Perc10s and then more Kratom.

So that should answer anyone's pondering concerns of Precipiated-Withdrawal.

Also, that may have been me either A. Knowing Kratom isn't an Opiate and therefore stupid to think it would cause anything other than a boost in the opiate effectiveness (from online threads)

Or B. Not really thinking much into it.

Not sure.. last time I checked it just worked off of the Opiate Receptors or something like that and is NOT an opiate/opioid. If it were , I am sure it would have no trouble being illegal by now.

So I decided to just go for it and see what would happen.

I took about .25 mg at first, didn't really feel anything like withdrawal or relaxing . I took a about a totally of 1.5mg or so within an hour or, last I took was 15 mins ago.

What does this mean? Does this mean I will experience any withdrawal from taking suboxone ? Does this mean anything bad, or does it mean go ahead , take more and maybe it will work ?

No, you can avoid precipitated withdrawal under most circumstances by dosing in the manner that you did. It's really hard to tell whether or not it would have mattered if you took a larger dose all at once, but since you're already comfortably on it youll be fine.

It does work on opiate receptors, therefore it must be treated as an opiate in this case, as it should always be.

However, buprenorphine should be unable to cause precipitated withdrawal lasting more than some minutes because kratom is so weak the buprenorphine will probably be able to replace it entirely farily quickly. This has happened to me before when taking quite low doses of weaker opiates and while it is unpleasant, it's not going to be bad for very long before the buprenorphine effect takes over.

So I decided to just go for it and see what would happen.

This means no precipitated withdrawals, they usually appear within minutes after dosing.

Are you currently physically dependent upon opiates? I couldn't gather whether u were or weren't from your post. If you aren't then you never have to worry about precip. withdrawals.
