Taking oxycontin while on prescribed adderall QUESTION

I am not new to opiates at all. My question is, is im going to be taking 80 mg OxyContin OP, will the effects be lessened because I'm prescribed 15 mg Adderall XR in the morning, and 10 mg Adderall IR at 4:00pm.

I am going to wait until 2:00pm to take the two 40 mg OP's. Should I not take my Instant release adderal at 4:00pm?

please don't bump your own threads, it is in the BDD Guidelines which you can find through the link in my Signature or at the top of the BDD home page. Be patient, and wait for someone to answer your question. I have no experience with the two drugs that you are thinking of combining, but I'm sure there are plenty of people here who have, you can't expect them all to answer withing 20 minutes of your initial post though.

The effects won't be lessened in that Adderall won't actually pharmacologically interfere with the oxycodone, however adding in a stimulant obviously means you won't feel as sedated - it's more that the effects will combine that the effects will be lessened. Depends what specific effects you mean I suppose as the sedation would actually be lessened, haha.. I imagine some people might find that a stimulant combined with the opiate makes the overall effect less pleasant but personally I like it in general.. but I find oxy quite stimulating anyway so have never tried it with a stim.

Also, I've never tried Adderall (am from the UK) so there might be something unique about that which makes it go particularly badly or well with opiates. The stims I have taken with opiates in the past have usually been recreational doses of UK amphetamine/MDPV/MPA not a prescribed amphetamine.

Whoever said Adderall increases the analgesic effects of opiates is CORRECT. There is plenty of literature and from personal experience the Adderall certainly does increase the effects of oxycodone. I was taking this combo for a few days and boy did I feel very good. The high was more stimulating then the feeling you get from most opiates but I felt sedated at the same time. I had a very nice head buzz going on. My experience was with 60-90mg Adderall + 40-80mg oxycodone. I felt best on the 90mg of Adderall with 40mg oxycodone.

I think the synergy between amphetamine-type drugs and opiates is definitely one of the driving factors behind the popularity of 'speedballs'. Cocaine is really an inferior drug to be using, though... too short acting.
