Taking Oxycontin In It's Intended Way Can You Get High?

I have been taking subutex for about six months now. Prob somewhere at about 3mg a day. Before that I was taking oxycodone. I have gone off subutex a few times for a few days and it would take 40-50mg to get me feeling good. I never stayed off long enough for the subs to get out of my system though. Normally 30-40mg at a time before subutex. At the most 60mg at a time. I always took percocet or roxis. Sometimes I would get oc's and grind them down and take that.

I realized yesterday that after all my years of abusing Oxycontin I have never just taken one of the pills without defeating the time release. All I can get now is the new op oc 40's and 80's.

I know I can't defeat the time release so what I was wondering is what it would feel like to just pop a 40 or 80 oc?

Like I said my tolerance without subs is something close to 40mg of oxy. So if I just took an 80 oc what would that feel like as appoesed to 30-40mg of instant release oxycodone?

It's a 12 hour time release right? So after six hours 40mgs would of been released? How much is released in the first hour?

My question is basically is it it possible for someone with a tolerance like mine to get a decent buzz off of just taking an oc op 80 the way it is intended to be taken?
 
I'd wait atleast a few days before taking it. You'll be buzzed off 80mg, but nothing worth fucking up your 'subriety' over.
 
I'm not planning on ruining my sobriety. I couldn't afford it money wise anymore even if I wanted to.

The one thing these subs havent been doing lately is stopping my craving for opiates. Taking more subs doesn't help either. I remember when on oxy everything I would do would be fun. No matter what. I liked people more. Other people liked me more. Everything is so fun and I am in the greatest mood. Subs just seem to keep me from being sick.

This is the longest I have been on subs without a break. About two months.

Like I said I can't afford to go back to opiates even if I wanted to. I can pretty much afford maybe three days of oxy and that's it back to the subs.

So if taking 45-60mg of instant release oxy 24 hours after my last sub dose makes me feel great then what would taking an 80oc feel like 24 hours after subs?

I'm trying to figure out how this time release works. Like how much is released immediately? Does it build up in your system or do you feel a more constant feeling from the oxy. Would I feel the same in hour one as I would in hour four?

I have friends who tell me that they would prefer a roxi 30 as opposed to an oc 80. Is this true?
 
Sounds pretty gross to just "chew" pills. Crushing/gelatin cap/parachuting would be much less disgusting.
 
The new OxyContin are still time released even if you chew them. Its hard to get high off of taking time released Oxy because you never really have more than about 20mg in your blood at once and thats only if you take an 80. the duration of Oxycodone is 4 hours, and a time released 80mg pill releases about 6.5mg per hour, so by the time 4 hours go by and like 26mg has entered your system, the effects of 13mg that entered your system in the first 2 hours is already fading. so fully active oxy in your system with a time released 80 is never going to really get over 19.5mg at once, not enough to get most people high at all.

BTW, this is all based on the fact that the pills are 12 hour time release
 
Kurrupt are you sure about that?

That would mean that about 30-35mg of oxy would be released immediately from an oc 80?
 
u can absolutley take the time release off no problem take a nail file and scrup it off. quick and easy. u just cant get them wet. contrary to what everybody has said annd this is my own personal experience u can still snort yhem wo puttinng them in the microwave or coke etc just use a ped egg think tiny little chees grater grate down into powder and snort the only deffer is u dont really get a drain. u still get high its the same as the old onnes u just cant get them wet.
 
I have a low tolerance, 15-20 mgs of oxy has me feeling pretty good. An OP 40 has me good all day. I'm actually sort of partial to them because they cost half what an OC does, at least around here. I cut them into pieces with wire cutters, done that way Kurrupt's numbers on how much is IR seems about right. Maybe just as good swallowing them whole, but I'm not taking chances.
 
So if I can take 40-50mg oxy instant release than an 80mg op won't kill me or anything right?

I would never take 80mg oxy instant release at one time cause I think I might od. 60mg is the most I have taken at once and I was nodding like crazy.

What worries me most here is that I'm gonna be 24 hours or so off subs. When I did this before it was always instant release about 45-60mg oxy after about 24 or so hours off subs. Even after that small amount of time i would feel something.

With this time release I worry that it won't be enough to keep me out of sub withdrawal. If it's only putting like 10-15mg of oxy in my system at any given time that's not gonna cut it. If its like what someone said here that it will immidiately put like 30-35mg of the whole 80 in at first then I will be ok.

I just wonder how the time release part works exactly.

Also can me taking these subs these last six months raise me tolerance and could it of lowered it? I have never came off subs long enough to truly know. I have been thinking that the subs have raised my tolerance but then again I could just feel that way cause I have never been off for longer than four days.

No, you can't defeat the time release of the OP's.

To the original question, yes you can get high from the new OP. You should take roughly twice the dose you usually would without the time release. I used to take the original OC orally and would feel good.
 
I chew my oxys...switch off between snorting...very few times tht i had to settle for the time released but i have before...wasnt the same even wen i chewed those lol
